Valued at over 3 crores, this initiative transformed multiple educational spaces, including classrooms, science labs, conference and meeting rooms, a common instrument lab, a cafeteria, and a multi-purpose hall. We partnered with leading brands such as QSC, Epson, iPad, Sennheiser, Logic, Kramer, BenQ, Barco, Logitech, Yamaha, Aruba, Leksa Lighting, and Lumens to ensure top-tier solutions.

WHAT DID THE CLIENT WANT TO ACHIEVE?
The client’s primary goal was to ensure the timely completion and integration of 74 rooms equipped with industry-standard audio-visual solutions. This included setting up 122 signage displays throughout the campus to enhance communication and information dissemination. Additionally, they sought comprehensive programming and configuration services for boardrooms and 16 training rooms to optimize functionality and user experience. The project aimed to provide seamless and efficient audio-visual environments across various educational and administrative spaces, aligning with global standards for technology-enhanced learning and collaborative environments at Azim Premji University in Bhopal.
SCOPE OF WORK YOUR COMPANY WAS INVOLVED IN
COLCOM was responsible for the fast-track execution and completion of all 74 rooms at Azim Premji University in Bhopal, focusing on integrating advance audio-visual solutions. This encompassed meticulous planning, installation, and configuration of equipment from leading brands such as QSC, Epson, Sennheiser, Kramer, BenQ, Barco, Logitech, Yamaha, and more.
Our scope of work included programming and configuring 122 signage displays strategically positioned across the campus to ensure effective communication and information circulation. Additionally, we set up boardrooms and 16 training rooms, optimizing these spaces with advanced audio-visual technologies to meet specific operational requirements and enhance user engagement.
WHAT KEY CHALLENGES WERE FACED?
During the Azim Premji University project, a significant challenge arose when the civil vendor did not adhere to the provided drawings. As a result, the hole cut for the floor box was smaller than specified. This deviation posed considerable difficulty fitting the AV equipment, as the dimensions were critical for ensuring seamless integration and functionality. The incorrect sizing of the floor box hole not only delayed the installation process but also required an immediate and effective solution to avoid further project setbacks.
HOW WERE THOSE CHALLENGES RESOLVED?
To address the issue, we had to innovate and customize both the floor box and the plates inside it. This involved precise modifications to fit the smaller hole while maintaining the integrity and functionality of the AV system. Our team collaborated closely with suppliers and utilized specialized tools to adjust the floor box dimensions. This customization ensured that all components fit perfectly and operated as intended. Despite the challenge, our proactive approach and flexibility in finding a solution allowed us to overcome this obstacle and complete the installation to the client’s satisfaction.

By integrating advanced audio-visual solutions across all classrooms, science labs, and other key areas, we have enhanced the learning experience for students and educators at Azim Premji University in Bhopal.
