PROJECT OVERVIEW
Rajahmundry, officially Rajamahendravaram, is a city in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh and the district headquarters of East Godavari district. It is the seventh most populated city in the state. During British rule, the district of Rajahmundry was created in the Madras Presidency in 1823. It was reorganised in 1859 and bifurcated into the Godavari and Krishna districts. Rajahmundry was the headquarters of Godavari district, which was further bifurcated into East Godavari and West Godavari districts in 1925. It is administered under the Rajahmundry revenue division of the East Godavari district. The city is known for its floriculture, history, culture, agriculture, economy, tourism, and its heritage. It is known as the “Cultural Capital of Andhra Pradesh”.
To Enhance its cultural values and tourism, Rajahmundry Municipal Corporation (RMC) has decided to build a Musical Fountain with aqua screen 3D projection mapping at Kambala Cheruvu Lake, Rajahmundry. The Musical Fountain was 60M X 20M, with one aqua screen 30M(W) X 20Mt(H) and a 7D Dolby surround sound system.
WHAT DID THE CLIENT WANT TO ACHIEVE?
Rajahmundry is a scenic and beautiful place with its own Forti culture, History, and agricultural values. The amazing Godawri River blesses Rajahmundry in its own ways, but the tourism sector has never been a boon for the place. The departments want to create something that mesmerizes tourists and boosts tourism across the entire country.
SCOPE OF WORK YOUR COMPANY WAS INVOLVED IN
From the first day, it is clear that the Musical Fountain should be unique, with multiple languages and more than 20 shows with various 20 songs and content, so we can attract tourists to Rajahmundry.
So, Our Scope is to Supply, Install, Test, and Commission the Entire Musical fountain with an aqua screen. More than five types of content were created. The aqua screen and musical fountain were synched with more than twenty songs. Every day, we run more than five shows for tourists.
We have installed more than 600 nozzles of various types, such as Centre Jets, Peacock Jets, V Jets, Tracing Jets, etc., and a More than 100 HP pumping system for the fountain.
More than 200 150-watt RGBW IP68 lights have been installed for the musical fountain, which also has a 7D Surround Sound system for creating mesmerizing effects.
WHAT KEY CHALLENGES WERE FACED?
The task is to install the fountain system in Kambala Cheruvu Lake at Rajahmundry. Kambala Cheruvvu is a lake where all Rajahmundry’s waste is coming from and still coming in. So if that waste goes into the fountain nozzles, the entire fountain system will fail, and the nozzles will be blocked within a day. Again, if dust and waste get on top of the lights, the lighting system of the musical system will be affected, and the vision of the project and design will completely fail.
HOW WERE THOSE CHALLENGES RESOLVED?
The fountain system is about to be installed in Kambala Cheruvu Lake, which is, in short, the entire Rajahmundry waste collection area. To protect our fountain system, we need to install a water Filter plant, and each nozzle should have its separate purification so the waste does not go into the nozzles. Our system will work without any intervention.
So, we have installed a Water Stunter Filter for bad water in the lake. A total of 40 motors of various capacities have been connected to the MUSICAL Fountain. Also, we have added extra filters to each nozzle so that if any small particles of dust or waste remain in the water after treatment, they should not go into the nozzles of the fountain system.
Also, we have created cages for the lights so that any waste material does not get on them and affects the entire lighting system of the Musical Fountain.
HOW HAS YOUR WORK HELPED THE CLIENT?
The Musical Fountain, with 3D projection mapping on an aqua screen, has been installed to boost the tourism economy of Rajahmundry and increase the city’s footfall. After Installing the Musical Fountain, we have seen a lot of visitors attracted to the place, and every day, during the five shows, more than 2000 people watch the shows.
The place has become a major tourist attraction in the entire Rajahmundry, which is bringing in a good economy. The Municipal Commissioner inaugurated the Musical fountain, and that day, more than 2 lakh people watched the shows within the last three months.
The shows run daily, and to date, more than 2000 visitors come and enjoy the mesmerizing show every day.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF ABOUT THE PROJECT?
We were on a mission to enhance and encourage the tourism of Rajahmundry by creating something spectacular. We designed more than five tons of 3D content to give visitors a mesmerizing experience. We created more than twenty simulations with Musical Fountain Lights and Sound Shows.
We have created something that is becoming the identity of the entire Rajahmundry, and more visitors are coming to it.
