PROJECT OVERVIEW
This project aims to implement a comprehensive Audio-Visual (AV) system that meets the specific requirements of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mumbai. The AV system will serve as a key component in enhancing communication, collaboration, and presentation capabilities within NABARD’s facilities at their 7th Floor Meeting and Conference Rooms, which facilitate the Management Members of the prestigious organization. The primary objective of this project was to supply, install, and configure a state-of-the-art AV system that seamlessly integrates audio, video, and control components. The system should provide reliable, high-quality audio and video distribution and intuitive control interfaces for easy operation. The project aims to enhance the overall user experience, improve efficiency in conducting meetings and presentations, and elevate the AV capabilities to meet NABARD’s evolving needs.
The AV system is implemented across NABARD’s Mumbai Head Office Building on the 7th floor. This AV Revamp project includes revamping of 5 Areas:
1. Boardroom (7A)
2. 9 Pax Meeting Room (7B)
3. 15 Pax Meeting Room (7C)
4. 46 Pax Conference Room (7E)
5. Lobby Area outside of 46 Pax Conference Room (7E)
WHAT DID THE CLIENT WANT TO ACHIEVE?
The client faced significant challenges with outdated AV systems across their facility. In The 46 PAX Conference Room (7E), frequent repositioning of displays & cameras for local events was necessary due to a mixed setup of floor-mounted & ceiling-mounted displays with a VC camera setup. Essential functionalities such as wireless presentation, annotation, whiteboarding, recording, streaming, & scheduling capabilities were absent, limiting productivity & interactivity during meetings. The Board Room suffered from poor image quality & maintenance issues with its projector & screen. The lack of interactive table displays & annotation capabilities further hindered effective communication. Control over AV devices & scheduling systems was also lacking. The 9 PAX & 15 PAX Media Room faced challenges with display size & no AV control device. By upgrading to the latest AV technology within the existing setup, the client aimed to comprehensively address these issues. The new systems would integrate essential features, enhance usability, reduce clutter, & introduce advertising solutions, thereby improving efficiency, user experience, and stakeholder engagement throughout the facility.

WHAT KEY CHALLENGES WERE FACED?
Nabard AV systems for the 7th floor were installed ten years back. Revamping the AV system involved upgrading with the latest AV technologies but without making any noticeable changes in the interior, so fitting the products within the available space of the existing equipment was a Key Challenge.
For instance, the boardroom had a rear projection system with a fixed screen of 136” diagonal that needed to be replaced with an Active LED display of 136” diagonal, Secondly, the 46 PAX room had an existing setup where two displays were floor mounted at the centre of the circular table facing the opposite direction and two displays were ceiling mounted facing other two directions. The ceiling height was 2.7 meters. It was a challenge to change this complete setup. They had a 98” display that was floor-mounted on a heavy box.
The tables had laminated finish, and cable cubbies needed to be installed on them.
HOW WERE THOSE CHALLENGES RESOLVED?
In the Chairman’s Boardroom, in-wall reinforcement was done for the installation of the active LED video wall, and fabrication work had to be executed to match the finish of the existing interiors.
Strategic Camera and Display Placement in 46 PAX: Beneath each display, specially designed mounts were installed securely to hold high-quality cameras, capturing every moment without interrupting the flow of the environment. This thoughtful design emphasizes the importance of visibility across the room. The cameras are positioned to avoid obstructions, allowing them to function effectively, whether recording, streaming, or enabling interactive sessions.
HOW HAS YOUR WORK HELPED THE CLIENT?
Upgrading NABARD’s AV systems addressed a range of significant challenges. The transition to the latest AV technology in the 46 PAX Conference Room (7E) eliminated the need to manually shift displays and cameras for local events. The new system enhanced collaboration and engagement during meetings by integrating wireless presentation capabilities, annotation, and whiteboarding functionalities. The addition of recording, streaming, and scheduling systems streamlined operations and improved accessibility for all participants.
In the Board Room, installing an active LED resolved issues with projector quality and maintenance. Interactive features on table displays enabled simultaneous annotation by multiple participants. The recording, streaming, and scheduling capabilities provided greater control and flexibility over AV devices, enhancing overall meeting efficiency. The 9 PAX and 15 PAX rooms saw improvements with reduced clutter from mic cables.
Overall, the upgrade to state-of-the-art AV technology not only addressed existing challenges but also transformed NABARD’s meeting spaces and lobby area into more efficient, engaging, and technologically advanced environments, supporting their mission and operational objectives effectively.
