BUDGET: 11 crore INR and above (USD1.48 million and above)

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The ONGC Darpan is located in DUB, V Kunj, New Delhi, a state-of-the-art digital visualization experience centre, Command control, crisis management, and training centre, which provides a 360-degree view of ONGC’s operations offshore and onshore, Production -operation -management Data. The centre is a tool for decision-making across all levels. The Center has an 18 metre x 2.7 metre 0.8 PP Active LED curved screen, which is multi-touch enabled to resize the multiple windows (16 Inputs) on the screen. The data from ONGC locations across the globe converge here for decision-making. A floor screen is also provided to create an experience for the visitors. A holographic studio is provided for visualizing content in 3D; further, Google Lens is provided for the specific need of ONGC to see the Geo-strata data/training of personnel. The centre is equipped with Online video & Codec-based video conferencing to serve the needs of critical management. The asymmetrical LED wall is used for digital signage applications. The Commands are Voice-activated for ease of operation and control. The System backbone is AV over IP. Good intelligible audio with equal SPL distribution is managed in the centre with a Ceiling, Wall mount speakers and DSP to control input signals.

WHAT DID THE CLIENT WANT TO ACHIEVE?

• Visualization centre displaying the variety of Field, Enterprise, and Business data in a logical fashion with large walk around interactive LED screens & Floor Screen.
• Command Control Centre
• Crisis Management Centre
• Video Conferencing ( Online / Codec based)
• IT Servers for fetching and storing the Data.
• Training of personnel
• Holographic Room
• 3D Visual Experience Room

SCOPE OF WORK YOUR COMPANY WAS INVOLVED IN

The scope of work for design and framing technical detail requirements for setting up the ONGC Darpan Visualization Centre & Command Control Centre were:-
• Civil modifications & layout planning of CVC in the existing building.
• Interiors and Acoustical Treatment for optimal & intelligible listening conditions.
• Furniture, both Technical and non-technical, for day-to-day operations.
• Sound Reinforcement System.
• Interactive Collaborative Multimedia Display System.
• Dali Dimmable LED Lighting.
• Precision HVAC System.
• Electrical & UPS Backup system.

WHAT KEY CHALLENGES WERE FACED?

* Convergence of Data across platforms & Low Latency in data transfer.
* Redundancy
* Curvature of the screen
* Temperature and Humidity conditions for the operations
* Floor Screen heat dissipation.

HOW WERE THOSE CHALLENGES RESOLVED?

* HCI Solution includes redundant interconnect switches to support low latency East-West traffic between HCI nodes.
* To maintain redundancy, a video data switcher with suitable inputs and outputs was proposed. Further, a Projector with screens was provided.
* Installation was carried out with precision-crafted frames that can be adjusted by a few degrees to create a curve.
* The floor was raised, and AC was proposed below the floor with laminar flow to dissipate heat.

HOW HAS YOUR WORK HELPED THE CLIENT?

The client is better informed and has ease of operations for day-to-day and crisis management. The client is able to bring international delegates from the Petrochemical industry and decision-makers from foreign governments to showcase the prowess of the ONGC and bag contracts for exploration for the country.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF ABOUT THE PROJECT?

Large Screen with Multiple touch-enabled points for resizing windows and data projection on the screen. Holographic Google Lens for 3D visualization of content and personnel training.
