BUDGET: Between 1 crore INR and 4.99 crore INR (More than USD135,000 but less than USD540,000)

Project Overview
As the AV Design Consultant for Infosys’ flagship Gen AI Experience Centre and Living Labs in Bengaluru, the company was entrusted with creating an immersive destination that showcases Infosys’ vision for Generative AI. The project connects the Experience Centre on the ground floor with the Living Labs on the mezzanine, creating a seamless and engaging visitor journey.
The experience is organised into purpose-built zones, including the Welcome Area, Immersive Industrial, Digital Twin, Cyber Security, AI & Retail, AI & Robotics, and the Infosys Metaverse Foundry, each designed to communicate a unique story while maintaining a cohesive open-space AV experience.
SI designed an integrated AV ecosystem featuring Christie and Samsung Active LED displays, a Lightware AV-over-IP backbone, interactive touch and gesture technologies, VR experiences, high-brightness Sony displays, AI-powered robotics, and a Biamp–Yamaha audio solution optimised for the acoustically challenging environment.
The result is a future-ready innovation hub that transforms an existing building into a flagship experiential destination, delivering immersive storytelling and memorable experiences for customers, partners, and stakeholders.
What did the client want to achieve?
The vision was to create two interconnected yet distinct environments—the Gen AI Experience Centre and the Living Labs—within a unique mezzanine-floor concept. The Experience Centre guides visitors through immersive zones, including Welcome, Immersive Industrial, Digital Twin, Cyber Security, AI & Retail, AI & Robotics, and the Infosys Metaverse Foundry, each designed with dedicated technologies and storytelling. The journey culminates in the naturally lit Living Labs, providing a collaborative space for AI innovation and live discussions.
A key design objective was to give every zone a unique identity while maintaining a cohesive open-plan AV experience across the entire facility.
The experience was designed to showcase Infosys’ capabilities in generative AI, digital twins, cybersecurity, retail innovation, and robotics through immersive visualisation, interactive touch and gesture technologies, VR experiences, and live demonstrations. The Living Labs further extend the experience by fostering collaboration, experimentation, and meaningful engagement with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
Scope of work your company was involved in
SI delivered a comprehensive end-to-end scope of services, guiding the project from concept development through commissioning and final handover.
01. Experiential AV Strategy – Developed the overall AV design vision, including zone planning, technology selection, AV-over-IP architecture, system specifications, and budget optimisation to achieve the desired visitor experience.
02. Architectural & Acoustic Integration– Seamlessly integrated AV systems within the existing building, addressing structural, sightline, daylight, and acoustic challenges across immersive spaces and the naturally lit Living Labs.
03. Multi-Disciplinary Coordination–Worked closely with architects, interior designers, content creators, and robotics specialists to coordinate Active LED installations, custom-resolution content, prototype integration, infrastructure, lighting, and power requirements.
04. Technical Review & Implementation Oversight–Supported AV vendor evaluation and integrator selection through technical assessments, followed by design validation, shop drawing reviews, site inspections, and implementation monitoring.
05. Commissioning & Handover – Testing and performance validation across AV, Active LED, AV-over-IP, interactive technologies and Audio System, operational and ready for handover.
What key challenges were faced?
Designing the AV ecosystem for the Infosys Gen AI Experience Centre and Living Labs required balancing ambitious experiential goals with the architectural and acoustic constraints of an existing building. The project combined immersive technologies, advanced AV engineering, and close multidisciplinary collaboration to create a seamless visitor journey.
A sculptural Active LED installation transformed an existing structural pillar into a striking arrival feature, while the escalator became an immersive cyber-space transition. The three-sided Active LED Industrial Zone demanded precise content mapping to achieve seamless visuals across intersecting surfaces. In the Digital Twin Zone, a Lightware AV-over-IP platform enabled reliable distribution of multiple custom-resolution video feeds from live prototype devices.
Interactive touch, gesture, and VR experiences were developed to create intuitive visitor engagement, while the Living Labs required high-brightness Sony displays, Samsung Active LED and proper tuned Biamp and Yamaha audio to overcome daylight and acoustic challenges. Integration of AI-powered humanoid robotics with custom software further enhanced the experience, while a unified AV design language connected diverse technologies into a cohesive, future-ready destination.
How were those challenges resolved?
SI designed a series of immersive experiences that together form a seamless AI-driven visitor journey. The Welcome Zone features a sculptural Active LED installation integrated around an existing structural pillar, while the escalator transition is transformed into a cyber-space experience using Active LED technology.
The Immersive Industrial Zone employs a three-sided Christie Core III Active LED display with AnalogWay Picturall Pro Mark II media servers to create a continuous visual environment across multiple surfaces. In the Digital Twin Zone, a Lightware AV-over-IP platform distributes custom-resolution content from live prototype devices with complete flexibility.
The Cyber Security and AI & Retail zones combine large-format visualisation with touch, gesture, and VR interactivity to encourage visitor engagement. The AI & Robotics Zone integrates Unitree Go2 Pro and G1 EDU robots running custom Infosys applications, while the Metaverse Foundry delivers immersive virtual experiences.
The naturally lit Living Labs utilise Samsung Active LED, Sony high-brightness displays, Biamp DSP, and Yamaha loudspeakers to ensure excellent visual performance and speech intelligibility. System Integrator Multee ProE successfully implemented the complete AV ecosystem.
How has your work helped the client?
SI’s integrated AV design transformed an existing Bangalore building into a flagship experiential destination that vividly communicates Infosys’s generative-AI leadership. Through gallery-scale Active LED canvases, a flexible AV-over-IP backbone, immersive multi-sided rooms, touch/gesture/VR interactivity, AI-driven robotics, and daylight-ready Living Labs, visitors now journey through a cohesive yet richly varied sequence of zones. The space enables Infosys to host customer engagements, executive presentations, live demonstrations, and open innovation discussions in a single venue—strengthening brand perception, deepening customer and partner engagement, and reinforcing Infosys’s position as a global leader in AI and digital transformation.
What are you most proud of about the project?
Despite significant architectural and acoustic constraints, SI created a unified experiential environment where every zone delivers a distinct narrative while contributing to one continuous visitor journey.
Project highlights include a sculptural Active LED feature integrated around a structural pillar, an LED-clad cyber-space escalator, 524-inch and 245-inch Christie Core III Active LED displays, and a three-sided immersive LED environment. A Lightware AV-over-IP platform distributes custom-resolution content from live prototype devices, while touch, gesture, and VR technologies enhance visitor engagement. The AI & Robotics Zone integrates Unitree Go2 Pro and G1 EDU robots running custom Infosys applications, and the naturally lit Living Labs combine Samsung Active LED, Sony high-brightness displays, Biamp DSP, and Yamaha loudspeakers to deliver outstanding visual and acoustic performance.
