NAMO Medical Education & Research Institute, Silvassa, developed under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, is located on a 20-acre campus in Silvassa, the capital of Dadra & Nagar Haveli.

It offers an annual intake of 177 medical students and includes academic buildings, hostels, and residential quarters.

The college is affiliated with Shree Vinoba Bhave Civil Hospital, a 650-bed facility (soon to be 1250 beds), initially established in 1952.

NAMO Medical Education & Research Institute, 4.3Km from the Hospital, features modern OTs, an auditorium, and seminar halls with professional AV systems. Inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on 7th March 2025.

What did the client want to achieve?

The client requires a rugged and efficient audio conferencing solution integrated with a video system for their Auditorium, Conference Room, and Modular Operation Theatres. The main challenge is in the Modular OTs, where the walls and ceilings are made of EGP-steel, causing excessive audio reflections that lead to feedback loops. Additionally, the presence of Air Handling Units (AHUs) generates high ambient noise, affecting speech clarity and disrupting communication during conferencing.

To address these issues, the proposed solution should be capable of advanced echo cancellation, ambient noise suppression, and ceiling-mounted microphones optimised for reflective environments. The design should ensure reliable audio pickup and minimal interference, even in high-noise settings. The system to be engineered for seamless integration, high speech intelligibility, and long-term durability, aligning with the performance and operational efficiency across all designated areas.

Scope of work your company was involved in

We were engaged as an ELV System Integrator for a range of systems, including Professional AV System, Structure Cabling System, Enterprise Grade IT and AV Network, Security and Surveillance System, Fire Alarm & Public Address System, and Building Management System. The total project size was in multiple phases, valued at around 15.5 Cr for the Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning.

What Key Challenges were faced?

During the implementation phase, several technical challenges were encountered in the Modular Operation Theatres (OTs). The use of EGP-steel modular walls and ceilings resulted in highly reflective surfaces, causing persistent audio feedback loops that disrupted communication. In addition, the high ambient noise generated by the Air Handling Units (AHUs) significantly reduced the signal-to-noise ratio, negatively affecting speech intelligibility for far-end participants during audio conferencing sessions. Furthermore, the installed Biamp DSPs, which utilised the “Launch” auto-calibration algorithm for ceiling microphones and speakers, were unable to perform accurately due to the elevated noise environment. The algorithm relies on low ambient noise levels to detect reference test tones, and the excessive background noise rendered the AI-driven auto-tuning process ineffective.

How were those challenges resolved?

To address the acoustic challenges, a comprehensive manual calibration was conducted. This involved precise adjustments to the gain structure, detailed equalisation (EQ) tuning, and optimisation of Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) parameters to eliminate audio feedback and improve speech clarity effectively. Additionally, signal routing paths were refined, and microphone lobing angles were strategically configured to reduce the pickup of ambient noise sources such as the AHU. These measures collectively enhanced overall audio performance, ensuring clear and reliable communication within the acoustically complex environment.

How has your work helped the client

We have successfully commissioned Modular Operation Theatres, Auditorium, and Conference Room, all of which are now fully operational. A TELEVIC audio conferencing solution, integrated with a video system, has been deployed, enabling seamless two-way communication between Operation Theatres and various locations within the Namo Medical Education & Research Institute—such as the Seminar Hall, Auditorium, Board Room, and Classrooms—over a 4.3 km wireless radio link from the hospital. This setup supports live audio and video streaming from the operating theatres, allowing students to observe procedures in real time while also enabling recording for compliance and archival purposes. The entire solution is implemented over a geographically distributed wired and wireless network infrastructure, ensuring robust and scalable connectivity. The system allows for streaming to a variety of platforms and applications, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and social media channels like YouTube and Facebook, thus maximising accessibility, reach, and educational impact.

What are you most proud of about the project?

The NAMO Medical Education & Research Institute, located 4.3 km from the hospital, proudly houses state-of-the-art Modular Operation Theatres, a modern auditorium, and fully equipped seminar halls, all integrated with professional-grade audiovisual systems. This prestigious facility was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 7th March 2025, marking a significant milestone in advancing medical education and healthcare infrastructure in the region.

Project Overview

A legislative assembly is the heart of any state in India. The people’s representatives sit here and make all the decisions related to the welfare of the people of that state. This is the institution where the laws are created and administered. This also controls the financial programs of the state, checks misuse of power by the ruling government and many more things. It is always expected that the Assembly runs perfectly during the sessions, and technology plays a vital role in it. Audio, Video, and IT are the core of the legislative assembly. A crystal clear sound quality is what is expected during any discussion, and not a single word should be missed, as each word is vital. Whatever is spoken there is the voice of the people of that state, and hence it should be heard clearly and without any distortion. We offered them a state-of-the-art audio system to run their business in the house. The Audio system is helping them immensely to reproduce, control, and stream audio during any legislative assembly session.

What did the client want to achieve?

The client faced recurring challenges during assembly sessions due to frequent failures in their existing Audio Discussion System, leading to significant disruptions and concerns. These issues raised serious doubts and pressure to find a dependable solution that would eliminate the risk of failure and embarrassment during necessary legislative proceedings. They were in search of a modern, technology-driven system with full failover redundancy and 99.99% uptime to ensure uninterrupted operation. Their expectation was a state-of-the-art conferencing setup that was also user-friendly and reliable. In addition to core functionality, the client required seamless integration with camera tracking and a permanent live streaming capability. A key priority was to implement a system that used minimal, standardised CatX cabling to simplify installation, operation, and future maintenance. The new system needed to address these technical shortcomings while improving reliability and ease of use. By opting for standardised cabling and automation, the client aimed to restore confidence, reduce complexity, and ensure smooth, glitch-free performance in all future assembly sessions.

Scope of work your company was involved in

The scope of the work was to design, supply, implement and maintain the audio discussion system integrated with camera tracking and live streaming. We developed a robust system that incorporates the Televic Discussion System with various components, including a digital signal processor, amplifier speakers, a recording and live streaming device, a digital mixer, a touch control panel for control, automation software, lightweight headphones, and a network switch. Dismantling the existing discussion system and removing the underground wiring was also kept in our scop,e which was the most challenging part of the project. They had several other existing pieces of equipment that we were instructed to utilise and integrate with the new solution to optimise the use of available resources.

What Key Challenges were faced?

Our scope of work includes designing, supplying, implementing and maintaining the audio discussion system integrated with camera tracking and live streaming. The first challenge was to convince the client of the Televic Conferencing System and the technology used by them. They had many embarrassing situations due to the failure of the renowned existing conferencing system in the middle of the sessions, so they were a bit reluctant about the ‘Televic’ products to be used, as this name was new to them. Convincing them about the brand we are offering was our first challenge, and laying new cabling and fixing new units with décor finish was our biggest challenge.

How were those challenges resolved?

We did our best to help the client understand the brand and system performance by explaining the technology, build quality, service support, and sharing references from notable installations. Some components from brands other than ‘Televic’ had previously been installed by us in their organisation. The performance of those systems helped us gain the client’s trust.

The existing discussion system was installed during the legislative assembly’s construction, with concealed wiring and table tops custom-cut for aesthetics. The tables were finished with natural veneer and PU polish. Installing new units in the same space was challenging. We proposed alterations to the cut-out design and offered to finish them with matching polish. The client agreed and supported us with the needed civil and carpentry work.

The assembly floor had high-quality carpet, and we were instructed not to damage it, as it could result in penalties. Our team surveyed the full underground conduit network used for cabling and prepared a suitable plan. This allowed us to install the new system without damaging the décor.

The client fully supported the process, enabling us to complete the installation efficiently.

How has your work helped the client

The phrase that best describes how our work helped the client is “Peace of Mind.” The client wanted a hassle-free solution they could trust, one that wouldn’t cause any further embarrassment. The system was rigorously tested for more than 72 continuous hours before being handed over, yet the client remained a bit nervous. However, once the 5-day assembly session concluded with flawless performance and perfect live streaming, all doubts were dispelled. The system earned appreciation from all honourable members of the assembly, including the ministers and the Honourable Chief Minister. Since handing over the system, two legislative assembly sessions have been conducted without any operational issues. The operators feel very confident using the system, thanks to its simplicity, which is primarily due to the automation integrated throughout the entire AV setup.

What are you most proud of about the project?

For any system integrator, the proudest moment is when the system you offer is appreciated by the client, especially when the project is delivered to one of the highest institutions, bringing a unique level of satisfaction and pride to the organisation. As a system integrator based in North-Eastern India, we have had limited opportunities to work on high-end AV projects and have faced various challenges over time. Since 2020, we have been overcoming these challenges and rendering our services. In the past few years, we have successfully implemented several high-end AV projects; however, this particular project stands out, offering us a different level of satisfaction and pride. It helped us realise our potential in designing and implementing high-end AV systems. Moreover, this project has given us valuable exposure to large conferencing projects, and we are confident it will open many doors for future opportunities.

We undertook the transformation of the historic 112-year-old Council Hall inside the Ripon Building—a landmark heritage structure—by replacing its decades-old analogue AV system with a modern, fully digital conferencing and audio solution. The objective was to bring seamless communication, control, and clarity to government meetings while ensuring the preservation of the building’s heritage character.

Executed within a tight timeline between two council meetings, the project delivered customised, flush-mounted digital conferencing units, high-quality speech reinforcement, wireless audio systems, control software, and a complete new cabling infrastructure—all without altering or defacing the structural integrity of the hall.

What did the client want to achieve?

The client’s vision was to digitise the council hall’s 25-year-old analogue public address and conferencing setup. Their core requirements were:
• A fully modern digital conference system with clear, reliable audio.
• Flush-mounted and factory-customised units matching existing architecture.
• Touchscreen-based chairman and delegate control with push-to-speak access.
• Centralised management with recording capabilities and intuitive control.
• All work to be executed without altering the hall’s heritage aesthetics.
• Seamless transition without disturbing scheduled council sessions.

They expected a solution that would blend seamlessly into the historic architecture while drastically improving functionality and operational efficiency.

Scope of work your company was involved in

We provided a complete design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning package for the AV system upgrade at the Ripon Building Council Hall. Our scope included:
• Customised Televic Confidea FLEX touchscreen chairman units and Confidea F-DM flush-mount delegate units with factory-approved extended gooseneck microphones.
• Software-based control system (Televic Confero 360) with user access control, room layout configuration, and meeting management tools.
• Integration of Shure wireless lapel, handheld, and earset microphones with distribution systems for maximum flexibility and mobility.
• High-performance speech reinforcement using Bose column array (MA12) and surface mount (FS2SE) speakers, driven by Bose amplifiers (P21000A, PM4500N, IZA2120HZ).
• QSC CORE 110F DSP and Allen & Heath QU-24 digital mixer for precise signal processing and system management.
• Replacement of the entire legacy wiring with new CAT6, control, and audio cabling—installed without disturbing the building’s original infrastructure.
• Installation of control PCs, touchscreen monitors, custom 32U AV rack, and integration programming.

The entire solution was built and installed while maintaining complete respect for the building’s heritage value.

What Key Challenges were faced?

• Heritage Preservation: The 112-year-old council hall had strict restrictions on modifications; the AV system had to be integrated without altering or defacing any structural element.
• Time-Sensitive Execution: The project had to be completed in the narrow window between two scheduled council sessions—no rescheduling allowed.
• OEM-Level Customisation: The delegate units had to match the dimensions and finish of the old panels, requiring custom design and approval from the OEM.
• Integration Complexity: The existing outdated system and wiring were replaced entirely with modern infrastructure, all without disturbing the building’s walls or surfaces.

How were those challenges resolved?

• Collaborated closely with Televic to design and supply factory-customised flush-mount units with extended gooseneck microphones tailored to the hall’s seating and furniture layout.
• Used surface-mount conduits and heritage-compliant routing methods to deploy the new cabling without any impact to the structural aesthetics.
• Pre-fabricated and tested all components off-site to streamline on-site deployment.
• Deployed a dedicated execution team operating in shifts to ensure timely delivery within the narrow working window.
• Maintained close coordination with heritage and civic authorities throughout execution to meet compliance standards.

Achieving factory-level hardware customisation, completing the entire upgrade between two council sessions, and replacing outdated infrastructure while keeping aesthetics untouched showcases our unmatched technical and project execution capabilities.

Project Overview

The Goa Legislative Secretariat needed an essential upgrade to its existing conferencing system. The goal was to improve the sound quality and make sure everything worked smoothly during assembly sessions. Our company was tasked with upgrading the Audio Conference System by replacing faulty parts.

The project required careful planning and fast execution because the Assembly could not stop working for long. We started by checking all the problems in the current system, identified the parts that needed replacement, and sourced the best compatible equipment.
We completed the work in just 45 days, without any delay. The final system works perfectly and has made communication in the Assembly much better. The client gave us the highest ratings for our quality, technical skills, and professionalism.

This project shows how our team can deliver fantastic results under pressure. We are proud that our work is helping the Goa Legislative Assembly run its sessions without any technical issues.

To manage the old system, we found new parts that could work well with the existing setup. We double-checked everything with the manufacturer to ensure full compatibility.

To handle the strict security, we planned everything — all our team members had the required passes and followed the rules. We worked in shifts to make the best use of the time given to us.

Given the minimal time available, we deployed our most experienced team members to the site. They worked fast and carefully, making sure everything was done right the first time.

Before going on-site, we tested the system setup in our workshop to avoid any surprises. This helped us complete the work quickly and without errors.

Throughout the project, we stayed in touch with the client and shared daily updates. This helped in building trust and getting quick approvals.

Because of these efforts, we completed the project on time, with no delays, and to the satisfaction of the client.

We started with workshops to inform the customer about the acoustic issues in the room. The customer was very supportive and worked collaboratively to resolve these problems. Subsequently, our expert programmers optimised the system to the customer’s satisfaction, and the training room is now operating smoothly without any issues.
