PROJECT OVERVIEW
IIM Ahmedabad – is a business school, located in Ahmedabad, and is India’s Top Management college. This project covers providing AV solutions for various spaces in the New academic Block Building and Forum Tower. Supply , Installation, testing & Commissioning of the State of the art AV Solution as per client requirement for below areas:
(1) Classrooms – 8 Nos , Capacity of 120–150-seater
(2) Auditorium – 1 No, 180-seater
(3) Seminar Rooms – 4 Nos , 50 seater.
(4) Syndicate Rooms 21 Nos , 8-12 seater
(5) Forum Tower – 1 No conference rooms cum Open Hall
What did the client want to achieve?
The client (IIM Ahmedabad) had the following requirements which were as under: –
1. Start of Art Sound reinforcement system for classrooms/Seminar halls/Auditorium and Forum Tower conference Hall
2. Auto tracking Camera system along with live video streaming and recording facility
3. Video conferencing facility for two way communication , so that Lectures can happen from other out station Faculties and Management Gurus
4. Projector display system for students and Faculty of teaching and VC application
5. Seamless Switching between devices having Zero latency for better learning

Scope of work your company was involved in
IIM Ahmedabad, India’s top management institute, boasts cutting-edge AV solutions in multiple areas:
Classrooms (8 Nos – 120-150 seats): Featuring Bose Line Array and Wall mount Speakers, Christie & BenQ Ultra Short Throw Projectors, Kramer AV switching, Sennheiser Digital Microphones, Xilica Signal processors, ALR Tab tensioned Screens, Lumens Auto Tracking cameras.
Auditorium (1 No – 180-seater): Equipped with Bose Line Array Speakers, Christie Projectors, Kramer switching, SENNHEISER Microphones, Xilica Signal processors.
Seminar Rooms (4 Nos – 50 seats): With Bose Line Array Speakers, Christie Projectors, Kramer AV switching, Sennheiser Microphones, Xilica Signal processors, ALR Screens, Lumens Auto Tracking cameras.
Syndicate Rooms (21 Nos – 8-12 seats): Equipped with LOGIC AV Products Cable Cubby and client-provided displays.
Forum Tower (1 No – Conference Rooms cum Open Hall): Features Bose Line Array Speakers, Christie Projectors, Kramer AV switching, Sennheiser Microphones, Xilica Signal processors, ALR Screens, Lumens Taiwan Auto Tracking cameras, Bosch Wireless Conference System.
These AV solutions enhance learning and collaboration, offering a state-of-the-art experience for students and faculty at IIM Ahmedabad.
What key challenges were faced?
1. Site coordination with the civil team, PMC and IIM Ahmedabad team
2. IIMA wanted Green Board for Lecturer and also wants Projector Screen for Students onSame wall in all Class Rooms, Seminar Room and we were facing issue with existing height of Front wall.
3.Speaker Placement in Seminar Room, Actual Proposed Speaker location was near the Green Board and was creating issue with Lapel mic when Lecture going to write on Green Board
4. Audio Mixer and Equipment Rack Location Shifted in Audi Cum Multipurpose Hall due to civil work issues (Electrical Panel and Entrance door very close with our AV Equipment rack there are No space for Audio Mixer Operator) and other services components obstructing on the actual location
5. Lumens Auto tracking Camera (we have to big challenge with Auto tracking Camera Live Feed and control on Lan cable via Usb cable)
How were those challenges resolved?
1. Timely coordination, Review meetings and weekly reports were submitted to client for Smooth and easy transition of works along with coordination with all vendors working at site and maintaining a cordial relationship with all the teams working at site
2. We had to increase the Height of the Projection Screens and also made sure that there is proper line of sight for students sitting at the back as well in the front rows.
3. We had to shift the Speaker location to few distance from green board which was done along with help of civil team and had to redo the cabling as there was space constraints due to Doors at both sides of the Seminar Room and Classroom.
4. We shifted Rack on new location and finally we have enough space for Maintained and operate Av setup. We had shift the Audio Mixer and Lay more cables for full functionality of the system.
5. As per tender We had only laid LAN cable for control Auto Tracking camera and Camera feed via on usb cable, but there was usb cable length limitation. Finally we have used USB TX- Rx for Live feed and the problem got Resolved
How has your work helped the client?
– The Client was able to achieve his requirements and was fully satisfied with the AV system installed in the classrooms and Seminar Rooms. Conference Rooms.
– The client was able to perform VC calls from Various Faculties across the Globe and Management Gurus.
– The client was able to Record all the Lectures and can even perform Live streaming of the lectures for the students who are not available physically in the classrooms and learning through distance Studies
What are you most proud of in relation to the project?
– Getting recognised and associated with a Top Management business Institute of India and been able to satisfy the client needs and exceed expectations with our service and provide them with a state of Art AV system.
– Also, various Faculties and management Gurus from Other countries have visited the Institute- classrooms and have acknowledged that this is one of best AV system they have performed lectures and is better than any other institutes across the globe including Harvard’s etc
