What did the client want to achieve?
The client envisioned a world-class Emergency Control & Collaboration Centre as the strategic hub for real-time monitoring, rapid decision-making, and coordinated emergency response. Starting with a 4,000 sq. ft. bare-shell facility, the objective was to create a future-ready environment integrating advanced AV technology, intelligent automation, and modern workspace design. The facility comprised a Main Boardroom, Mini Conference Rooms, Monitoring Area, Breakout Spaces, Reception, and Server Room, providing a consistent and intuitive user experience throughout. A key requirement was seamless hybrid collaboration, centralized control, secure content sharing, and real-time information visualization across multiple spaces. The solution also had to be highly reliable, scalable, and simple to operate to ensure uninterrupted performance during mission-critical situations. Beyond functionality, the client sought a premium environment that reflected innovation and operational excellence while supporting long-term business continuity, organizational readiness, and future expansion.
Scope of work your company was involved in
SI was entrusted with delivering a complete turnkey solution covering technology design, engineering, AV integration, automation, infrastructure planning, installation, commissioning, and user training. Starting with a bare-shell facility, the team transformed the space into a fully operational Emergency Control & Collaboration Centre. The solution featured an enterprise-grade AV-over-IP backbone enabling centralized content distribution across all operational spaces. SISPL integrated a 136-inch Fine Pitch LED Video Wall, professional displays, PTZ cameras, conferencing systems, digital audio processing, and centralized touch-panel controls. The audio system incorporated echo cancellation, noise suppression, intelligent microphone management, and seamless hybrid meeting integration. Advanced automation enabled intuitive control of audio, video, displays, conferencing, lighting, and motorized drapery. SISPL also coordinated closely with civil, electrical, networking, and interior teams to ensure seamless execution. Comprehensive programming, testing, commissioning, and user training delivered a unified, reliable, and future-ready operational environment.
What key challenges were faced?
Delivering a mission-critical Emergency Control & Collaboration Centre from a bare-shell facility presented significant technical and execution challenges. Multiple operational spaces with distinct functional requirements had to be integrated into a seamless, intuitive user experience. Implementing an AV-over-IP architecture required close coordination between AV, IT, and building infrastructure to ensure secure, low-latency, and reliable communication. Integrating LED displays, conferencing systems, audio DSP, PTZ cameras, automation, lighting control, and motorized drapery into a single control platform demanded meticulous engineering and interoperability testing. Execution also required continuous coordination with interior, civil, electrical, HVAC, and networking teams while working within tight construction schedules. Achieving exceptional speech intelligibility for both in-room and hybrid meetings required customized acoustic design and audio optimization. The solution also needed to remain scalable for future expansion while offering a simple, intuitive interface for non-technical users, balancing advanced functionality with operational ease.
How were those challenges resolved?
SI adopted a structured engineering and project management approach to deliver the facility successfully. Design workshops with stakeholders helped define operational workflows and develop customized solutions for each functional area. A scalable AV-over-IP architecture enabled seamless content distribution, simplified management, and supported future expansion. LED displays, conferencing, DSP audio, PTZ cameras, automation, and environmental controls were integrated into a single ecosystem and rigorously tested for seamless interoperability. Close coordination with architects, civil contractors, electrical teams, and IT partners ensured smooth execution while maintaining project timelines. Comprehensive acoustic tuning and DSP programming delivered exceptional speech clarity and reliable hybrid collaboration. Crestron’s intuitive touch-panel interface provided one-touch control of displays, conferencing, lighting, routing, and room settings, making the system easy for all users. Thorough testing, commissioning, and operator training ensured reliable, mission-critical performance from day one.
How has your work helped the client?
The completed Emergency Control & Collaboration Centre has significantly enhanced the client’s ability to manage mission-critical operations through faster communication, centralized control, and improved collaboration. Executives and operational teams can now make informed decisions within a technology-driven environment designed for high-pressure situations. The AV-over-IP infrastructure enables real-time content sharing across multiple spaces, while advanced conferencing, intelligent audio, and AI-enabled cameras deliver seamless hybrid collaboration. Centralized automation simplifies room operation through intuitive touch-panel controls, reducing setup time and improving productivity. The modern facility reflects innovation and operational excellence while providing a scalable platform for future technology upgrades without major infrastructure changes. Designed for continuous 24×7 operation, the centre delivers the reliability required for emergency management and business continuity. The project exceeded the client’s expectations, earning appreciation from senior leadership and the Chairman for its engineering quality, technological innovation, and exceptional user experience.
What are you most proud of about the project?
The greatest achievement of this project was transforming a bare-shell facility into a world-class Emergency Control & Collaboration Centre that combines advanced technology, intelligent automation, and operational efficiency. Rather than simply installing AV equipment, SI delivered a fully integrated ecosystem where every system works seamlessly to support mission-critical collaboration. The successful implementation of an AV-over-IP infrastructure, intelligent conferencing, centralized automation, premium display systems, and advanced audio engineering highlights SI’s ability to execute complex enterprise projects. The project also demonstrates the company’s expertise in managing multidisciplinary turnkey projects while maintaining exceptional quality, reliability, and strict timelines. Appreciation from the client’s senior leadership and Chairman reflects the team’s engineering excellence and customer-focused approach.
