BUDGET: Between 1 crore INR and 4.99 crore INR (More than USD135,000 but less than USD540,000)

Project Overview
We designed and implemented the Collins Aerospace Technology Experience Centre in Bengaluru, creating a highly immersive environment that transforms complex aerospace innovations into engaging visitor experiences through experiential storytelling and advanced AV technologies.
Rather than relying on conventional displays, the Experience Centre combines Virtual Reality, immersive dome projection mapping, interactive multi-touch systems, holographic displays, digital signage, automated lighting and centralized content management to create a memorable journey for customers, partners and stakeholders.
At the heart of the centre are two signature experiences: a custom Virtual Reality flight simulation powered by Meta Quest headsets and an immersive dome projection environment utilizing six edge-blended 10,000-lumen laser projectors to create a seamless panoramic visual experience synchronized with audio and lighting. A custom RF-enabled interactive touch table allows visitors to explore aerospace innovations through physical object interaction, creating intuitive and engaging storytelling.
The facility is integrated with Crestron automation, QSC audio, Cisco networking and centralized content management for seamless one-touch control.
What did the client want to achieve?
Collins Aerospace wanted to create an immersive technology showcase capable of communicating its innovation, engineering excellence and future vision in a more engaging and memorable way.
The objective was to replace traditional presentations and static exhibits with interactive experiences that allow visitors to actively explore aerospace technologies through Virtual Reality, projection mapping, touch interaction and immersive storytelling. The Experience Centre also needed to simplify complex engineering concepts while increasing visitor engagement and reinforcing Collins Aerospace’s global technology leadership.
Operational simplicity was equally important. Despite incorporating multiple advanced technologies, the system needed to provide intuitive one-touch operation for daily use while allowing centralized management of content, lighting, audio and multimedia experiences.
Finally, the client required a scalable platform that could easily accommodate future content updates, technology upgrades and evolving visitor engagement requirements without major infrastructure changes.
Scope of work your company was involved in
We were responsible for the complete design, engineering, supply, installation, integration, programming, testing, commissioning and operator training for the Collins Aerospace Technology Experience Centre.
The project included the deployment of immersive dome projection mapping using six edge-blended laser projectors, Virtual Reality simulation environments, RF-enabled multi-touch interactive tables, holographic displays, digital signage, automated lighting, immersive audio systems and centralized content management.
The team integrated Crestron automation with intuitive iPad-based control, enabling one-touch activation of complete visitor experiences, including synchronized projection, lighting, audio and multimedia playback. Backend infrastructure included Cisco networking, QSC digital signal processing and centralized content routing to ensure reliable operation across all experience zones.
We also collaborated closely with the client, consultant and content developers to integrate multimedia experiences, optimize projection mapping, calibrate immersive environments and deliver a seamless visitor journey. The scope extended through system commissioning, user acceptance testing, documentation and operator training to ensure long-term operational reliability.
What key challenges were faced?
The project involved integrating multiple immersive technologies into a single seamless visitor experience, presenting significant engineering and system integration challenges.
One of the primary challenges was combining Virtual Reality, dome projection mapping, holographic displays, RF-enabled interactive systems, automated lighting, immersive audio, content management and centralized control into a unified platform that operated reliably across all experience zones.
The immersive dome environment required precise calibration of six high-brightness laser projectors to achieve seamless edge blending, geometric correction and synchronized panoramic projection without visible transitions between images.
Another challenge was maintaining a simple user experience despite the sophisticated backend infrastructure. Operators needed to launch complete visitor experiences through an intuitive interface without interacting with multiple independent systems.
Extensive integration testing, content synchronization and system validation were required to ensure stable operation and a consistent visitor experience across every interactive element.
How were those challenges resolved?
We adopted a structured systems integration approach supported by extensive engineering validation and collaborative project management.
Detailed integration planning enabled Virtual Reality, dome projection, holography, RF-enabled touch interaction, immersive audio, lighting control and centralized content management to operate as a unified ecosystem rather than independent technologies.
The engineering team performed detailed projector calibration, edge blending, geometric correction and content optimization to create a seamless dome projection environment powered by six synchronized laser projectors. Audio, lighting and projection playback were synchronized through Crestron automation to deliver consistent immersive experiences.
To simplify daily operation, custom iPad-based control interfaces were developed, allowing operators to activate complete experience sequences with a single touch. Automated workflows eliminated manual intervention while ensuring consistent visitor experiences regardless of operator expertise.
Comprehensive testing, commissioning and user training ensured reliable system performance, smooth content synchronization and confident day-to-day operation, resulting in a stable and highly immersive Experience Centre.
How has your work helped the client?
The Collins Aerospace Technology Experience Centre has become a strategic engagement platform that enables the organization to communicate complex aerospace innovations through immersive and memorable experiences.
Visitors can now explore advanced technologies using Virtual Reality simulations, interactive storytelling, dome projection mapping and multimedia experiences that simplify highly technical concepts while increasing engagement and understanding.
The Experience Centre strengthens Collins Aerospace’s brand positioning by demonstrating innovation through experiential technology rather than conventional presentations. Interactive engagement encourages longer visitor interaction while creating a lasting impression for customers, partners, government agencies and stakeholders.
Centralized automation and content management have simplified day-to-day operations, allowing staff to launch synchronized multimedia experiences through intuitive one-touch control while reducing operational complexity.
The scalable infrastructure also provides flexibility for future content updates and technology expansion, ensuring the Experience Centre continues to evolve alongside Collins Aerospace’s innovation journey.
What are you most proud of about the project?
We are most proud of successfully integrating multiple advanced experiential technologies into a single seamless visitor journey.
The Experience Centre combines Virtual Reality, immersive dome projection mapping, RF-enabled interactive storytelling, holographic displays, automated lighting and centralized show control into a cohesive environment that transforms complex aerospace engineering into engaging experiences accessible to every visitor.
A particularly rewarding achievement was delivering the immersive dome projection environment using six perfectly edge-blended laser projectors synchronized with audio and lighting to create a truly cinematic experience.
Equally important, we achieved this level of technical sophistication while maintaining exceptional operational simplicity through one-touch automation. The result is an Experience Centre that combines innovation, creativity, engineering excellence and ease of operation to deliver a memorable “”wow factor”” while effectively communicating Collins Aerospace’s technological leadership.
