Project Overview

A Symphony of Light, Water and Stories at Spandan Sarovar, Moradabad is an immersive multimedia attraction that transforms a public lake into a dynamic storytelling canvas through the seamless integration of water projection, musical fountains, synchronized lighting, and cinematic visuals. Executed by Temflo Systems Pvt. Ltd., with concept development, creative direction, and content by Magical Theatre, the project reimagines conventional fountain entertainment as a culturally enriching public experience.

The attraction presents three uniquely curated shows that blend mythology, imagination, and local heritage. A powerful retelling of Kalki Avtaar explores the triumph of righteousness, a vibrant children’s adventure promotes environmental responsibility through engaging storytelling, and a heritage show celebrates Moradabad’s evolution as the renowned Brass City of India. Together, these narratives appeal to audiences across generations while creating a strong emotional connection with the city’s cultural identity.

Advanced fountain choreography, high-resolution water projection, synchronized lighting, and immersive audio work together to create a breathtaking sensory experience.

What did the client want to achieve?

The client envisioned transforming Spandan Sarovar into a landmark cultural attraction that would redefine the city’s evening experience while strengthening Moradabad’s identity through innovative public entertainment. The objective was to create an immersive attraction that combined advanced fountain technology with compelling storytelling, offering visitors far more than a conventional musical fountain show.

The client also wanted the attraction to appeal to diverse audiences by presenting stories that celebrated mythology, inspired children through imaginative narratives, and showcased Moradabad’s rich heritage and craftsmanship. Equally important was creating a destination that encouraged families, tourists, and local residents to gather in a shared public space, thereby increasing visitor engagement, enhancing the city’s recreational infrastructure, and promoting civic pride. The vision was to establish a memorable landmark that reflected both technological excellence and cultural significance.

Scope of work your company was involved in

Design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Aqua Screen Based Projection Mapping Show with components like 3 Chip DLP 4K UHD Laser Projector with 33000 lumens, Qty. 2 Nos., Animation Laser & Moving Head Lights, Advance Sound and Light Show including Supply and installation of Multimedia Musical Fountain features with chasing jets, arching jets and sunburst jets.

What key challenges were faced?

The project presented several creative and technical challenges. One of the most significant was transforming an open lake environment into a stable, high-quality projection surface capable of delivering clear visuals while synchronizing water, light, music, and storytelling in real time. Achieving seamless integration between multiple technologies demanded exceptional precision and coordination.

Another challenge was developing three completely distinct narratives that would appeal to audiences of different age groups while maintaining a consistent artistic identity. The shows needed to balance mythology, children’s entertainment, and local heritage without compromising the overall visitor experience.
From an execution perspective, the project required meticulous programming of fountain choreography, synchronized lighting, projection timing, and audio playback. Every water jet, lighting cue, and visual sequence had to function with millisecond precision to create a believable illusion of stories unfolding on water. Delivering this level of technical excellence within a public outdoor environment required close collaboration between creative, engineering, programming, and installation teams.

How were those challenges resolved?

The challenges were overcome through an integrated design process where storytelling and engineering were developed together rather than independently. From the earliest stages, the creative narrative, fountain choreography, projection content, lighting design, and soundscape were planned as a single synchronized experience, ensuring that technology always supported the story.

Advanced fountain systems were programmed with precision controls that synchronized every water movement with projection, music, and lighting. High-resolution projection systems, dynamic illumination, and carefully choreographed fountain patterns transformed water into a living storytelling medium, creating the illusion of floating cinematic visuals and immersive scenes.

To ensure broad public appeal, three carefully curated narratives were created, each delivering a unique emotional experience while collectively celebrating mythology, imagination, and Moradabad’s cultural identity. Continuous collaboration between design, technology, programming, and on-site execution teams ensured accurate synchronization, smooth installation, and flawless performance, resulting in a world-class attraction that delivers a consistently immersive visitor experience.

How has your work helped the client?

The project has transformed Spandan Sarovar into one of Moradabad’s most distinctive public attractions, significantly enhancing the recreational and cultural value of the lakefront. By combining cutting-edge multimedia technology with meaningful storytelling, the installation has created a unique destination that attracts families, tourists, and residents, encouraging greater public engagement with the city’s open spaces.

Beyond entertainment, the attraction reinforces Moradabad’s cultural identity by presenting stories rooted in mythology, environmental values, and the city’s celebrated brass craftsmanship. The experience strengthens civic pride while positioning the city as a destination that embraces innovation in public cultural infrastructure.

The project has also demonstrated the client’s commitment to investing in world-class public experiences that combine technology, culture, and community engagement. As a result, Spandan Sarovar has evolved from a recreational lake into a landmark evening attraction that offers memorable experiences while contributing to tourism, public participation, and the city’s overall image.

What are you most proud of about the project?

We are most proud of transforming water into a powerful storytelling medium capable of creating emotional, immersive experiences that resonate with audiences of every age. By combining advanced fountain engineering, synchronized multimedia technology, and compelling narratives, we created an attraction that goes far beyond visual spectacle to celebrate culture, imagination, and local identity.

The successful integration of mythology, children’s storytelling, and Moradabad’s heritage into a single world-class multimedia experience demonstrates how technology can strengthen cultural expression rather than simply entertain. Most importantly, the project has redefined a public space into a vibrant civic landmark where families, tourists, and residents gather to experience stories together, creating lasting memories while reinforcing pride in the city’s heritage and future.
