We completed the Sanofi AV integration project in Hyderabad, a leading pharmaceutical facility, on 11/07/2024. This fast-track deployment, handled in partnership with consultant 3CDN, stands as one of our largest projects in FY 2024–25. The project included boardrooms, 10+10 divisible rooms, and a large town hall, all equipped with Logitech-based video conferencing infrastructure, including Rally Bars, Tap IPs, and room schedulers. Display solutions from LG and mounting systems from Chief were also used. Given long lead times for certain materials, we faced significant procurement delays. However, leveraging COLCOM’s presence across 14 countries, we sourced key equipment internationally to maintain the delivery timeline. Our ability to mobilise cross-border logistics ensured Sanofi’s AV systems were commissioned without compromise.

What did the client want to achieve?

The client sought to deploy world-class technology solutions that would provide seamless connectivity for users through advanced video conferencing devices. This implementation was designed to enhance real-time collaboration across teams, breaking down geographical barriers and improving communication efficiency. By integrating these cutting-edge tools, the client aimed to significantly boost overall productivity and enable a more connected and agile working environment.

Designed by a consultant following Sanofi’s standards, the project involved our team taking full responsibility for supplying and installing the complete AV infrastructure at Sanofi’s Hyderabad location.

What Key Challenges were faced?

The project was awarded with an aggressive timeline, requiring product delivery within just 4 weeks. The key challenge was to meet this accelerated schedule without compromising on quality or coordination across the team.

How were those challenges resolved?

Given COLCOM’s presence across 14 countries, we were able to leverage our global network to source AV equipment from multiple international locations. This was done in close coordination with the manufacturers to ensure full compliance with warranty requirements, safeguarding the client’s long-term support and service needs. Our strong relationships with these manufacturers also played a critical role in accelerating the procurement process, allowing us to fast-track the delivery of essential components. This efficient coordination enabled us to meet tight project deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of quality and execution.

How has your work helped the client

The client is pleased with the AV setup delivered by our team, which has played a key role in enabling a smooth transition to a hybrid work environment. Sanofi’s Townhall is now actively used for management events and serves as a vital platform for organisation-wide communication, ensuring effective engagement between in-office and remote participants.

What are you most proud of about the project?

We are proud to have delivered a ₹9.38 crore AV integration project for Sanofi Hyderabad within a tight 4-week timeline, without compromising on quality or client expectations. Despite global procurement delays, we leveraged COLCOM’s international network across 14 countries to ensure the timely delivery of critical equipment, maintaining full warranty compliance.

Our strong coordination with manufacturers and stakeholders helped us overcome major logistical challenges, completing one of FY 2024–25’s largest AV deployments on schedule. This project showcases our agility, resilience, and global execution strength.

It is not to be confused with Salesforce’s broader “Resource Centre” or “Help Centre”, which provides general information, articles, and support for products and services.

Ensuring Real-Time Performance: Designing an AV system that supports instant, reliable communication and video display during critical global incidents, where delays or downtime are unacceptable.

Long-Distance Fibre Distribution: Implementing a 2km fibre-based video distribution to allow remote electronics placement while maintaining signal integrity and minimising latency.

System Interoperability: Integrating multiple complex components—video walls, audio DSP, KVM control, and network switching—into a seamless, unified solution without compatibility issues.

Redundancy and Reliability: Building a scalable rack infrastructure that ensures 24/7 uptime, with redundant power and cooling to prevent failures during mission-critical operations.

Environmental Constraints: Minimising heat and noise on the operations floor by relocating electronics remotely, improving comfort and reducing operational distractions.

Future-Proofing: Designing the system to be easily scalable and adaptable for future technology upgrades and operational growth.

How were those challenges resolved?

We resolved challenges by selecting low-latency video and audio equipment to ensure real-time performance. A 2km single-mode fibre optic system with signal repeaters maintained video integrity for remote electronics placement. We ensured interoperability by choosing compatible, industry-standard components across video, audio, KVM, and network systems, creating a unified control environment. Redundancy was built into racks with backup power, cooling, and failover to guarantee 24/7 uptime. Relocating electronics off the operations floor reduced heat and noise, improving operator comfort. Finally, scalable racks and modular, IP-based components future-proofed the system for easy upgrades and expansion.

How has your work helped the client

Helped monitor real-time video feeds, visualise high-resolution models, or create an enterprise-scale AV/IP network with our line of Alpha FX video processors. Seamlessly integrated with Haivision’s complete video wall solution, our video processors give you the power, control, and flexibility you need with a range of sizes and capabilities designed for any mission-critical application.

And the Planar Clarity Matrix G3 LX55M-L-F system met and exceeded performance expectations, providing a robust, flexible, and highly serviceable display infrastructure capable of meeting mission-critical demands. Its fibre extension capability significantly reduced cabling complexity in the installation environment.

Project Overview

The client, NetApp, wanted to integrate an AV solution for eight divisible training rooms that can be combined, as well as have a large multipurpose event space that can accommodate different types of events.

What did the client want to achieve?

The client required an integrated AV solution combining eight divisible training rooms with a large multipurpose event space. A large LED videowall will be the main display, supported by secondary screens to ensure visibility for large audiences. The audio system must deliver uniform coverage across the entire floor with support for wireless mics, stage monitors, and room combining functionality. Multiple PTZ cameras are required to capture both the stage and the audience for video conferencing, live streaming, and recording. The system must support Zoom and hybrid event workflows. The stage should accommodate multi-purpose use—presentations, performances, and panels—with professional lighting including RGB effects, VC lighting, and moving head lights with beam, spot, and wash features. Centralised control via a touch panel is essential for managing audio, video, lighting, and room modes efficiently.

Scope includes a 393” Active LED videowall with dual 173” secondary displays, integrated video conferencing, multi-source local presentation, live streaming, and event recording. Wireless presentation and cable TV switching are included, with console, presenter, and monitoring displays. A centralised touch panel provides complete control.

Audio system features DSP and Dante-based processing, line array speakers with subwoofers, monitor speakers for presenters, wireless and gooseneck mics, wall plates for inputs, and a stage box for musical instruments—all centrally controlled.

Lighting includes RGB ambient lighting, VC lighting, moving head fixtures with beam/spot/wash, LED blinders, and DMX lighting control.

Camera systems include 4K PTZ cameras with a joystick controller, matrix switcher/scaler with multi-resolution support, program/preview monitoring, and streaming capabilities for events and sessions.

What Key Challenges were faced?

A highly complex programming project integrating eight divisible training rooms, an all-hands meeting space, an LED wall, and stage lighting—all in a single ecosystem.

The building’s steel structure posed significant challenges for cable routing and equipment mounting, including load-bearing issues for speakers and Active LED, as well as restrictions on chipping and drilling due to architectural dependency—power on POE+.

How were those challenges resolved?

Use the Datapath videowall processor for dynamic layouts on the 1.8mm, 800-nits LED wall.

Mount LED wall and speakers using freestanding or truss-based structures (no drilling or chipping).

Deploy QSC Q-SYS platform for centralised control, audio DSP, and room combining.

Install 10.7” PoE touch panels at trainer consoles and the control room for GUI-based control.

Use 48-port and 24-port Netgear PoE++ switches for AV-over-IP and power distribution.

Integrate all microphones (handheld, lavalier, gooseneck, Catchbox) via Dante wireless system.

Implement RDL Dante wall plates for balanced/unbalanced I/O in training rooms.

Deploy 6x 4K PTZ cameras with 20x optical zoom for VC and streaming.

Control PTZ cameras using touchscreen joystick controller (single-hand operation).

Switch and stream video using a 4K live production mixer with SMPTE ST 2110 support.

Use network-based video encoders/decoders for flexible streaming and content routing.

Provide live streaming and recording via portable AV mixer.

Route all audio through powered line array speakers, subwoofers, and stage monitor speakers.

Uniform audio coverage throughout the space and seamless control allowed the client to have flexible options with easy control. The space can accommodate various types of events with ease.

Despite strict limitations on drilling, mounting, and power access, we successfully implemented a scalable, all-in-one ecosystem that seamlessly connects eight divisible training rooms and an all-hands space.

To achieve this, we worked in close collaboration with Wipro’s internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless alignment between the spatial design and Wipro’s strategic messaging. Our AV Design Solution was designed to support a narrative-driven journey, where customers and partners could explore Wipro’s innovations through a blend of interactive displays, immersive projection systems, touch-enabled storytelling interfaces, and sensor-based environments.

Every element was meticulously curated to ensure intuitive operation and a wow-factor user experience. The result is a future-ready space that not only reinforces Wipro’s brand identity as a global technology leader but also enhances the effectiveness of its customer engagements and business storytelling.

Our scope began with developing a detailed AV experience blueprint and budgeting guidance to align technical excellence with commercial viability. We collaborated closely with Wipro’s internal stakeholders to ensure that the AV strategy supported their broader marketing and storytelling goals.

As part of our role, we worked directly with the content development team to ensure optimal content playback across various AV platforms. Additionally, we coordinated extensively with architects and interior vendors to integrate AV systems seamlessly into the physical space, addressing factors such as sightlines, acoustic treatment, structural provisions, cable routing, and lighting integration.

MetaHive further supported Wipro in evaluating and shortlisting AV vendors through a detailed technical assessment process. Once an integrator was selected, we provided implementation oversight—reviewing shop drawings, inspecting on-site progress, and ensuring adherence to design intent and quality standards.

Finally, we conducted system testing and commissioning, documenting all performance checks and preparing formal sign-off reports to hand over a fully functional, high-impact Experience Centre aligned with Wipro’s vision.

What Key Challenges were faced?

Designing the AV experience for Wipro’s Experience Centre presented a unique blend of technical and execution challenges that required innovative thinking and precise coordination. On the technical front, the client sought unconventional AV solutions, requiring the creation of bespoke, experiential installations that could communicate brand narratives engagingly and memorably.

Wipro also envisioned a fun and interactive zone to engage visitors dynamically, moving beyond passive displays to deliver a participatory experience. Additionally, they requested that the vertical showcases not be tied to fixed installations but instead remain agile and reconfigurable to suit evolving business priorities.

A major design constraint was the need for the system to function autonomously—without the need for a host to manually operate devices or an AV operator present during the customer journey. Furthermore, the solution had to be future-proof, capable of adapting to upcoming AV trends and technologies.

On the execution side, the timeline was a significant challenge. With less than 12 weeks from equipment delivery to go-live, BT Convergence Technologies (AV System Integrator) had to plan and execute with precision.

How were those challenges resolved?

To address the issues, we designed a range of unique AV installations and created an asymmetric, multi-layered Active LED installation, inspired by the architect’s stone wall cladding. In the reception zone, a convex LED display provided a striking and immersive welcome experience with 3D Anamorphic Naked Eye Content developed on real-time rendering platforms.

For interactive engagement, we conceptualised a gamified floor projection mapping zone using LiDAR sensors across a 20-meter-wide floor. When visitors interacted with the floor, content dynamically changed on a vertical transparent LED, blending movement and storytelling.

A highlight of the experience was a dedicated zone showcasing Wipro’s leadership in Industrial and Quantum Computing. This featured an 8K resolution Concave Active LED wall, paired with immersive audio-visual real-time rendering interactive (Unity Platform) content.

To ensure scalability and uncompromised performance, we implemented a centralised 20G AV over IP solution. Cameras placed across all zones fed into a central control room, enabling real-time monitoring and centralised control.

Despite a tight timeline, BT Convergence completed physical installation within 8 weeks, delivering a flawless, resilient solution.

How has your work helped the client

We helped Wipro shift from conventional display approaches to experiential storytelling, using advanced AV technologies such as 8K Concave Active LED, asymmetric LED configurations, and interactive projection mapping. This allowed them to demonstrate complex domains like Quantum Computing, Industrial Automation, Healthcare, and Retail in a way that was visually compelling and easy for customers to engage with.

By designing a centralised, 20G AV-over-IP architecture, we ensured long-term scalability, seamless content delivery, and integration with future trends. Our intuitive control system allowed Wipro to operate the entire centre effortlessly—without requiring on-ground AV operators—enhancing both autonomy and professionalism during client visits.

The interactive and modular nature of our solutions empowered Wipro to tailor presentations based on visitor profiles, creating personalized, high-impact engagements. Ultimately, the Experience Centre has become a powerful storytelling platform—enabling Wipro to showcase innovation, foster trust with clients, and accelerate strategic conversations.

We’re most proud of transforming the Experience Centre into a future-ready, immersive environment that redefined client engagement for Wipro. From designing a custom asymmetric Active LED display inspired by architectural elements to implementing a centralised AV-over-IP system with pixel-perfect video distribution, every solution was crafted to deliver impact, flexibility, and scalability.

We introduced real-time rendering capabilities, a gamified interactive zone, and a Holographic Digital Avatar that welcomes visitors with contextual greetings—setting a high-tech tone from the moment they enter. A portable studio kit was the icing on the cake for podcast, interviews and testimonials, and Wipro and its customers appreciated it.

We’re very proud that Wipro’s leadership team acknowledged the experience as a transformative asset that reflects the brand’s digital-first vision. Delivering this within a demanding timeline—and seeing it become a benchmark space for executive engagements—is what we’re most proud of.

Project Overview

At AVID, we had the privilege of designing and deploying a state-of-the-art AV solution for a Global Banking organisation, whose name can’t be disclosed due to a signed NDA for the town hall space. This area not only serves as the central gathering point for key company meetings, events, and announcements but also functions as a flexible, divisible room setup to accommodate varying event requirements. Our objective was to create an intelligent, scalable AV environment that would ensure immersive communication and seamless collaboration, whether for a full-capacity town hall or smaller, segmented sessions.

What did the client want to achieve?

The client sought a solution that could support both large-scale and modular meeting formats within the same physical space. This called for a design that prioritised clarity, accessibility, and adaptability. Our solution needed to ensure all participants—whether seated at the front of the room or the farthest end of the café extension—had an equal audio-visual experience. This meant advanced displays, distributed audio, dynamic camera placement, intelligent microphone integration, and a robust networked AV backbone to support it all. Central to the installation were three Active LED video walls, installed strategically within the main town hall space. These LED walls serve as the primary display surfaces for video conferencing, live presentations, multimedia content, and corporate messaging. The positioning of these LED walls was carefully designed to ensure maximum visibility from all corners of the room, including the extended café area.

Our company’s scope of work for this project included end-to-end design, supply, installation, integration, and commissioning of the AV system for Fidelity’s town hall space.

We began with detailed design and consultancy, conducting site surveys, understanding their operational requirements, and creating a scalable AV over IP-based solution. This included preparing layouts, schematics, and BOQs.

We also handled AV over IP integration, installing encoders and decoders for seamless signal transmission with minimal latency. All active equipment was fitted into a professionally assembled AV rack within the dedicated AV room. Finally, our team carried out programming, system tuning, rigorous testing, and user training, ensuring intuitive operation and optimal performance. The project was handed over with complete documentation, empowering the client to fully leverage their modern, flexible, and future-ready AV environment.

What Key Challenges were faced?

During the project, we encountered significant challenges in two key areas. First, aligning the Active LED video wall proved difficult due to the wall’s lack of straightness, which required additional precision and adjustments to ensure a seamless and visually appealing display. This issue demanded meticulous planning and on-site corrections to achieve the desired alignment and overall aesthetic.

Second, the integration of the camera system presented a challenge because auto-tracking features were not included in the initial design phase. This oversight became apparent during implementation, as it necessitated retrofitting the camera system to incorporate auto-tracking capabilities. Addressing this required reevaluating the system’s design and functionality, ensuring that the camera could effectively support dynamic presentations and interactive features as intended.

Both challenges required proactive problem-solving and adaptability to ensure the successful completion of the project, ultimately leading to a refined and effective AV solution.

How were those challenges resolved?

To address the challenge with the Active LED video wall alignment, we instructed the team to install plywood on the wall. This modification created a stable and even surface, facilitating the precise mounting of the video wall. As a result, this proactive measure helped prevent any delays in the project handover, ensuring the installation proceeded smoothly and on schedule.

Regarding the auto-tracking camera system, the initial design had not anticipated this feature, which presented a challenge during implementation. To overcome this, we devised a workaround solution that integrated auto-tracking functionality into the existing setup. This solution involved adjusting the camera system to support dynamic tracking, allowing it to meet the project’s interactive and presentation requirements. By implementing this workaround, we were able to enhance the system’s capabilities and maintain the project’s momentum, ultimately delivering a fully functional and advanced AV solution.

How has your work helped the client

Our work has helped the client by significantly enhancing the functionality, flexibility, and user experience of their townhall space. The solution enables them to host large-scale meetings, presentations, and events with ease, while also allowing the room to be divided for smaller sessions without any compromise in AV quality.

By implementing an AV over IP architecture, we ensured their system is scalable and future-proof, giving them the flexibility to expand or reconfigure as their needs evolve. The high-quality audio and visual integration ensures every participant, whether in the main hall or café extension, has an equally immersive experience.

Additionally, the intuitive control system reduces operational complexity, empowering their teams to manage the space confidently without requiring specialised technical support for every event.

Overall, our work has improved collaboration, enhanced communication, and maximised the utility of their space, aligning with their goal of creating a modern, efficient, and engaging workplace environment.

We are most proud of how we transformed Fidelity’s town hall into a flexible, future-ready AV space that seamlessly integrates advanced technology with user-friendly operation. The project wasn’t just about installing LEDs and speakers but about designing a scalable AV over IP solution that allows effortless room reconfiguration for multiple use cases.

Our dual-camera setup for each LED and ceiling-mounted presenter cameras ensured comprehensive coverage. At the same time, the Biamp audio system delivered crystal-clear sound throughout the town hall and extended café areas.

Despite the technical complexity, we delivered the solution within tight timelines without compromising quality. Seeing the client operate the system confidently, whether hosting a full-scale town hall or dividing the room for smaller sessions, is truly rewarding.

Overall, I am proud that we delivered a solution that not only met their technical requirements but also enhanced collaboration, inclusivity, and future scalability for their teams.

The space is intelligently divided into high-impact zones: a dynamic welcome zone, an immersive capability zone featuring ‘Swipe & Share’ interactivity, and a futuristic product demo zone powered by future mirror technology. Users can explore and interact with over 4,000 Siemens transmission power equipment models in stunning 3D visuals. A tabletop demo uses projection mapping to bring Siemens’ smart infrastructure solutions to life. A collaborative wall integrates UC capabilities with real-time feedback displays, creating a truly interactive and future-ready environment. This high-tech showcase proves that significant impact doesn’t need a big space – just the right vision and innovation—total Project value: $0.7 Million.

What did the client want to achieve?

Siemens Advanta’s Smart Grids & Infrastructure (SGI) team envisioned a compact yet high-impact Experience Centre within a limited 705 sq. ft. space to showcase their cutting-edge innovations effectively. The goal was to create an immersive, technology-driven environment that could communicate complex solutions in smart infrastructure and digital transformation to clients—maximising storytelling, engagement, and value within a minimal footprint.

To create a cutting-edge, immersive experience centre for Siemens Advanta’s Smart Grids & Infrastructure team within a compact 705 sq ft space. Design and plan the technology for the different zones and to create an interactive experience, including projection mapping on a tabletop.

A major component was a multi-zone Network Operations Centre (NOC) featuring active LED walls connected to multiple PCs for dynamic visual oversight. Their role covered everything—from laying the groundwork with cabling and infrastructure to installing AV Equipment, Its Commissioning and Programming. The team carefully managed how visuals were displayed across large LED walls and how sound was handled in different zones to make sure everything was clear and synchronised. They also designed an easy-to-use touch-based control system so users could manage AV functions like switching sources or adjusting audio without hassle. In various meeting rooms and open spaces, ISSPL made sure the AV experience was consistent and neatly integrated—respecting the look and feel of the architecture while keeping functionality intact. Their work supported smooth video conferencing across platforms like Zoom and Teams, and the final setup combined high performance with ease of use, ready for both day-to-day collaboration and special operations.

High-Density Signal Management in NOC, Complex Video Wall Processing and USB KVM

Managing 32 PCs (each with dual HDMI outputs) and routing them effectively across eight large LED walls across four zones required precise signal distribution and reliable processing without latency or signal degradation. Implementing 8K videowall processing with Analogue Way hardware involved intricate configuration and alignment of multiple high-resolution Active LED Video walls.

Bandwidth and Network Design for SDVoE – Deploying Lightware’s SDVoE extenders over a 10G backbone demanded a robust and high-throughput network infrastructure, free from packet loss, latency issues, or switching delays under heavy AV traffic.

Uniform AV Experience Across Diverse Meeting Rooms – Ensuring a consistent user experience in rooms of varying capacities (4 to 12 pax), each with different hardware combinations, required standardised installation practices and careful coordination of device interoperability.

How were those challenges resolved?

Implemented a matrixed SDVoE AV-over-IP architecture to manage high-bandwidth HDMI signals over a 10G fibre backbone with near-zero latency, and also provided much-needed USB KVM, which was an essential part of the project.

The setup includes a 100” LG dual display in the primary space and a 65” dual display in the secondary area, supporting local and remote content sharing.

A network-based video conferencing system features two 4K PTZ cameras, platform compatibility (Zoom, Teams, Webex), and seamless audio-video integration. Audio is managed through a QSC DSP with Dante networking, distributing sound to 24 ceiling speakers, 4 column speakers, and six powered subwoofers for full-room coverage.

Voice input is captured via a Sennheiser wireless system with handheld, lavalier, and gooseneck mics, along with a Catchbox for audience interaction. All AV components are connected through HDBaseT and managed via a 48-port PoE++ network switch, supporting AV over IP.

Centralised control is provided through a 10.7” touch panel with a customised user interface, allowing intuitive control of AV sources, audio levels, and conferencing presets. The system leverages top-tier brands including QSC, LG, Samsung, Sennheiser, Logitech, and Cisco to ensure reliability, scalability, and ease of use.

Highlights included a branded hologram display at the reception, occupancy sensors with LED light bars for boardroom availability, and digital signage across floor lobbies, cafeterias, and menu boards. Unified touch interfaces, intelligent audio processing, and remote device management ensured seamless, scalable performance. The solution design needed to align seamlessly with the aesthetic expectations, without compromising on functionality or performance in any way. A significant challenge was achieving seamless standardisation across multiple environments with vastly different infrastructure capabilities, user profiles, and usage patterns. Designing a common AV framework that could flexibly adapt to executive, operational, and training use cases without diluting usability was complex. Synchronising deliverables across parallel deployment timelines and managing supply chain variables during procurement posed additional hurdles. Variations in electrical and network readiness created on-site unpredictability. Moreover, equipping non-technical users with advanced hybrid collaboration tools required a simplified interface without sacrificing functionality. External dependencies, such as third-party contractor schedules and multi-agency approvals, also threatened to delay the deployment cycle. To minimise operational disruption in active commercial spaces, our team had to execute critical work post-business hours. Lastly, the need for backend scalability while maintaining frontend simplicity added a layer of architectural complexity that had to be addressed from the ground up.

Design revisions during execution due to architectural or functional changes were managed through updated BOQs and continuous stakeholder coordination. In cases of post-delivery design changes, we ensured hassle-free equipment returns without restocking charges. Play approached the project with a core framework strategy—designing a universal AV configuration that could be dynamically adjusted based on site constraints while keeping user interaction uniform. Extensive site audits allowed for proactive alignment of infrastructure with AV requirements. A modular hardware configuration with pre-commissioned templates accelerated deployment and reduced on-site dependencies.
