Project Overview

As part of the modernisation and security enhancement of the historic Chadwick House in Shimla, this project involved the end-to-end design, supply, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of a state-of-the-art CCTV surveillance system. Executed under the specifications of CPWD and to the highest standards of quality and safety, the work encompassed not only the core surveillance infrastructure but also associated power and communication cabling.

The project demanded precise coordination with ongoing civil works and meticulous planning of concealed conduit layouts, approved by the client before execution. All materials used were pre-approved by the Engineer-in-Charge to ensure quality compliance. Special attention was paid to site cleanliness, worker safety, and protection of the heritage structure during execution.

Final commissioning involved rigorous inspection by the department, with optional third-party verification to validate system performance against project specifications. The successful delivery of this integrated surveillance system has significantly enhanced site security while respecting the architectural integrity and heritage value of Chadwick House.

What did the client want to achieve?

The client’s vision for Chadwick House extended beyond physical restoration—they aimed to preserve its historical and architectural legacy while making it accessible and secure for future generations. As a colonial-era residence with significant heritage value, Chadwick House had suffered years of neglect, making its revival both urgent and meaningful.

The client wanted to protect the restored structure from vandalism, unauthorised access, and environmental risks by implementing a discreet yet robust CCTV surveillance system. The goal was to ensure round-the-clock monitoring without compromising the aesthetic integrity of the heritage site.

By integrating modern security technology, the client sought to create a safe, well-managed space that would support public engagement while preserving the building’s authenticity. This included enabling site staff to oversee daily operations more efficiently and to respond swiftly to any incidents.

Scope of work your company was involved in

The Chadwick House project involved the end-to-end implementation of a comprehensive CCTV surveillance system to enhance the security and preservation of this restored heritage site in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. The scope included the design, supply, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of CCTV equipment along with associated power and communication cabling.

Executed as per the latest CPWD electrical specifications, the project required close coordination with civil restoration works to ensure that all installations were non-intrusive and heritage-sensitive. Custom conduit layouts were developed and approved to maintain the building’s aesthetic integrity. The contractor was responsible for site safety, debris removal, transportation, material storage, and safeguarding of assets without any additional cost to the client.

Hidden works were conducted under supervision, with complete accountability for damage prevention and compliance with safety standards. Tricolor also conducted insulation and earth continuity tests as per IE rules, ensuring technical robustness.

To enable smooth operation post-installation, a 2-day operational and troubleshooting training was provided to client-nominated personnel.

What Key Challenges were faced?

The project encountered several key challenges during execution. Availability of skilled manpower in a remote location like Shimla proved difficult, especially for specialised tasks such as conduit routing within a heritage structure, requiring careful coordination and extended timelines.

The sharp rise in material costs, particularly post-COVID, impacted budget planning and required continuous revalidation of sourcing strategies to maintain quality without compromising specifications. Additionally, delays in the supply of critical equipment and components—due to logistical constraints and transportation challenges in hilly terrain—further strained the project timeline.

Despite these hurdles, the team maintained close coordination with the client and adapted to evolving site conditions to ensure timely and quality delivery.

How were those challenges resolved?

To address the manpower shortage, the team mobilised skilled technicians from nearby regions and adjusted work schedules to optimise productivity with a smaller crew. Local labour was also trained for basic support tasks, reducing dependency on external resources.

The impact of rising material costs was managed through proactive vendor negotiations, bulk procurement where possible, and careful value engineering—ensuring that no compromises were made on quality or compliance.

For delays in equipment supply, the team adopted a staggered delivery approach and closely tracked vendor timelines. Temporary solutions were used to maintain progress on-site until final components arrived. Strong coordination with the client and real-time problem-solving allowed the project to remain on track.

These strategic, adaptive measures helped the team overcome logistical, financial, and resource-related challenges while upholding the integrity and standards of the heritage project.

How has your work helped the client

When work began, Chadwick House was a neglected, deteriorating structure—its walls crumbling, its heritage nearly forgotten. Today, after its thoughtful restoration and the integration of a modern surveillance system, it stands as a beautifully revived symbol of Shimla’s colonial past and institutional legacy.

Our work played a crucial role in securing the site, making it safe for public access without compromising its architectural character. With its transformation, Chadwick House has not only regained its grandeur but has become a centre of attraction, drawing visitors, students, and history enthusiasts from across the region.

Importantly, the site now serves as a unique platform to raise awareness about the role and legacy of Indian auditors. By opening its doors to the public, it connects citizens with the work of the CAG in a space that is both informative and inspiring. The project has thus helped the client achieve their dual vision—heritage preservation and public engagement.

What are you most proud of about the project?

What makes us most proud about the Chadwick House project is the transformation we helped bring to life—from a dilapidated, forgotten structure to a remarkable space that inspires, educates, and preserves history.

We seamlessly integrated technology with storytelling, breathing life into a narrative that was once unknown to many. Through immersive AV installations and carefully crafted, life-like figures of prominent personalities, we’ve created an experience that transports visitors back in time, allowing them to engage with history in a deeply personal and memorable way.

This project is not just a technical success—it’s a celebration of heritage. Every element, from the layout of the surveillance system to the visual and spatial design, was delivered not only with precision and adherence to the agreement but with an eye for beauty, detail, and emotional resonance. It is a space that now lives, speaks, and connects—something we take immense pride in.

Project photos are not attached due to confidentiality and privacy policies.

Project Overview

HAVI Design India LLP was selected to deliver a complete audio-visual conferencing solution for Courtrooms 4 & 5 at the Supreme Court of India in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. This AV system has been designed to support smooth communication, video display, and hybrid (online + offline) hearings in courtrooms of national importance.

Each courtroom is equipped with a Bosch IP-based digital conference system with discussion units, dual microphones, and under-table speakers for crystal-clear sound. The conference software enables judges and staff to manage multiple microphone modes like open, override, or voice-activated, and includes features like priority alerts and speaker time limits.

The solution integrates AI-enhanced document cameras, 10″ touch control panels, motorised 17.3″ HD monitors for judges, and a 135” Full-HD LED video wall to ensure everyone in court sees and hears proceedings clearly. All components are connected via AV over IP encoders and decoders, which support low-latency 4K video and audio transmission, with remote switching and control.

Networked through 24-port PoE+ managed switches, the systems also include a powerful recording and streaming device, enabling 4K capture of multiple sources simultaneously.

What did the client want to achieve?

The client, CPWD on behalf of the Supreme Court of India, wanted to upgrade Courtroom Nos. 4 and 5 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, with a state-of-the-art audio-visual conferencing system. The main goal was to support digital court proceedings, ensure clear voice communication, support remote hearings, and make the overall courtroom technology-driven and future-ready.

The solution needed to be fully IP-based, with flush-mounted microphone units, under-table speakers, and hybrid integration for both physical and remote participation. The court required all systems to work silently and smartly in the background without disturbing the courtroom environment.

Reliable recording, display, control, and conference management software were critical for smooth operation by court staff. The Supreme Court also wanted easy-to-use touch panels for controlling the AV setup, high-quality motorised judge displays, and a large LED wall for public viewing.

Lastly, security, uptime, and centralised system control were high priorities, along with server-grade performance and minimal cabling visibility.

Scope of work your company was involved in

HAVI Design India LLP provided a complete end-to-end AV solution:

• Bosch IP-based Digital Conference System
Including discussion units with dual microphones, conference controllers & management software.

• Stream & Record
A professional-grade lecture 4K recording device captures and streams courtroom activity.

What Key Challenges were faced?

There were a few important challenges during the project:
1. Room Acoustics: The courtroom had high ceilings and hard surfaces that made the sound bounce, creating echoes.
2. Aesthetic Limitations: The installation could not change the structure or appearance of the courtroom, so everything had to be hidden or blend in perfectly.
3. Security and Access: Working in a sensitive area meant that all team members and materials had to pass through strict security checks.
4. Limited Time for Work: Most of the work had to be done at night or during court breaks, which gave us a narrow window for installation.
5. High Standards: The client expected top-class quality and reliability, with no room for even minor issues.

How were those challenges resolved?

We found practical solutions for each challenge:

1. Better Acoustics: Our team did sound tests and adjusted microphone positions and settings to remove echoes and improve clarity.
2. Neat and Hidden Setup: We used custom tools and mounts to hide cables and devices inside walls, furniture, and ceilings.
3. Security Coordination: We worked closely with security staff, prepared documents in advance, and followed their rules strictly for smooth entry and exit.
4. Night Shift Work: Our installation team worked at night and on weekends to complete work without affecting daily court sessions.
5. Step-by-Step Testing: We tested each part of the system after installation, allowing time to fix any issues before the final handover.

These steps helped us deliver a trouble-free solution that worked flawlessly from day one.

How has your work helped the client

The installed system made a big difference to the courtroom experience. Here’s how:

• Clearer Communication: Everyone can hear and speak clearly, even if the person is sitting far away or speaking softly.
• Less Manual Work: The staff no longer needs to adjust microphones or worry about technical issues during hearings.
• Smooth Proceedings: The system is stable and works all day without problems, helping the court run efficiently.
• Neat Appearance: The system fits into the space without affecting the courtroom’s original design or layout.
• Ready for Future Needs: If the court wants to add video conferencing or other new features, the system is ready to support it.

The client gave positive feedback and was especially happy with how smoothly and silently the system operates.

What are you most proud of about the project?

We are most proud of delivering a high-end, future-ready digital courtroom system that balances technology, simplicity, and beauty in one of the most respected institutions in the country.

The entire solution works seamlessly in hybrid mode, allowing remote participants to join securely, while preserving the tradition and silent operation expected in a court setting.

Our engineers ensured a clean design, hiding all wiring and systems under desks, inside walls, and behind panels. Judges interact with a simple touch monitor, but behind that are more than 25 types of devices all connected reliably via AV over IP.

We are particularly proud of using premium international brands like Bosch, LG, AMX, Lumens, and Bose, integrated into a user-friendly interface with zero downtime, minimal training, and elegant aesthetics. It’s also expandable for future upgrades.

Completing this complex installation inside the Supreme Court premises, under tight security and strict timelines, with precision and quality, speaks volumes about our team’s capability and dedication.

This is not just an AV project—it’s India’s highest court digital transformation milestone, and we are proud to be behind it.

Project Overview

AWAAN undertook a complete renovation of Town Hall’s existing auditorium, its audio, video, stage lighting, stage curtains, etc.

What did the client want to achieve?

Client sought a complete upgrade of AV and lighting systems, along with an ease-of-use solution. Despite using complex and sophisticated audio, video, and lighting equipment, we ensured the systems were configured to be simple yet not oversimplified, allowing any amateur to plug and play.

Scope of work your company was involved in

Audio, video, intelligent lighting, stage lighting and stage curtains.

What Key Challenges were faced?

Since this was an existing, functional auditorium, it was challenging to reinstall new AV systems without damaging the existing structure of the auditorium, considering its structural antiquity and uniqueness.

How were those challenges resolved?

Armed with the required skill sets and two decades of rich AV experience, along with the technical expertise of our project team, we were able to overcome the hurdles of working on the landmark structure!

How has your work helped the client

The client benefited from the complete upgrade of audio, video, and lighting systems, along with an ease-of-use solution. Despite using complex and sophisticated audio, video, and lighting equipment, we ensured the systems were configured in a manner that is simple yet not oversimplified, allowing any amateur sound engineer to plug and play.

What are you most proud of about the project?

The fact that we were trusted to work on one of oldest and iconic municipal buildings of Central Bengaluru, the foundation of which was laid by none other than Maharaja Krishnaraj Wodeyar on 6th March 1933, in itself in a matter of great pride and honor for all of us at AWAAN and remains of the most prestigious projects we’ve worked on in Namma Bengaluru

The building was commissioned and inaugurated by Yuvaraja Kanteerava Narasimharaja Wadiyar in 1935. It was designed in a neoclassical style reminiscent of ancient Greece. It has a broad portico with tall Tuscan columns and a triangular pediment. It was built on land donated by Sir K. P. Puttanna Chetty, former president of Bangalore City Municipality. It serves as a key venue for public gatherings, cultural events and official functions.

Over the decades, the Town Hall has remained an essential landmark in Bengaluru’s social and political life, symbolising the city’s modern heritage and democratic ideals.

Project Overview

We, Softlabs Infotech Pvt. Ltd., have been working as a complete AV consultant for over 10 years and have completed many projects with the Indian government. In 2024–2025, we upgraded a small, empty room into a modern conference hall at the North Central Railway DRM Office, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. We provided the AV solution to the client in June 2024. After completing the required documents and approvals, our project manager and system engineer started the work in November 2024. The project was completed successfully in January 2025, before the given deadline.

Before starting the project, we shared a clear diagram showing the solution as per the site’s needs. We also included brand and model details and explained how each item would be used in the conference room. A dedicated project manager and system engineer were assigned to handle the project smoothly. Regular updates were shared with the client and our team during the process.

We worked closely with the client throughout the project. Based on their feedback, we made some helpful changes to improve the original plan, with their approval. From planning to final installation, we carefully managed every step to make sure the client was delighted.

What did the client want to achieve?

The DRM Jhansi client aimed to implement a modern Audio-Video solution with a clean, professional setup—specifically with no visible wires, maintaining the aesthetics of the previous system.

They wanted a seamless presentation experience where any chairman or delegate could share content with a single click using a wireless presentation device, ensuring it is clearly visible to all attendees.

The system needed to deliver high-quality audio and video without buffering or sound distortion, providing a smooth and clear experience for everyone in the conference room.

Additionally, each delegate should be able to ask questions & speak by pressing their microphone button. At the same time, the chairman should have the ability to mute or unmute delegates microphones from their end.

The client also requested an 8-hour online power backup to ensure uninterrupted operations during power outages.

Scope of work your company was involved in

Our company was responsible for the complete installation, testing, and commissioning of the Audio-Video (AV) system with desk and chair, including the safe transportation of all equipment to the installation site. We provided a fully integrated AV solution, accompanied by detailed system diagrams and equipment documentation to ensure that the client—or any third party—can easily understand the complete setup and the purpose of each installed component.

All AV switchers, controllers, and key equipment were systematically installed in a centralised rack located in the control room. This setup enables the client to operate the entire AV system conveniently from a single point of control.

To ensure smooth operation post-installation, we conducted one week of hands-on training for Railway personnel. This training covered all aspects of the AV system’s functionality and configuration.

We have also committed to a 12-month maintenance supervision service. Any issues encountered by the client will be resolved within 24 hours via remote support or, if necessary, within 72 hours through on-site service—at no additional cost.

This end-to-end approach ensures a reliable, user-friendly, and fully maintainable AV environment that aligns with the client’s requirements and expectations.

What Key Challenges were faced?

The room was long but narrow, resulting in less space to move around the table. It was challenging to ensure everyone could see the screens and the primary camera clearly due to the room’s shape.

At the beginning, the room had nothing—no furniture, no wires, and no AV system. We had to plan and install all power points, network points, and cable paths from the beginning. The room had sound problems, such as echo, due to the hard surfaces. So, we had to place speakers and microphones very carefully to make sure the sound was clear for everyone.

People sitting far from the main screen had trouble seeing and hearing clearly.

How were those challenges resolved?

Armed with the required skill sets and two decades of rich AV experience, along with the technical expertise of our project team, we were able to overcome the hurdles pertaining to working on the landmark structure!

For people sitting far from the main screen and having trouble seeing and hearing clearly, we added extra screens on the side walls so everyone could view the content properly. We also installed over 50+ microphones and hid all the cables inside the table to keep the room neat. All wires were sent to the control room in an organised way. We placed the primary camera in the centre and adjusted it carefully so it could see the whole table without any issues.

We also developed a simple touch control system, allowing anyone—even those without technical skills—to use it easily. Installing the 8-hour power backup was tricky, but we managed to do it without making the control area messy or hot.

How has your work helped the client

Our work has made the client’s meetings better and easier. We provided them with a complete AV system that is easy to use. Now, the chairman and delegates can start presentations, talk using mics, and share their screen with just one click.

We added multiple screens so that everyone in the room can see the content clearly, no matter where they sit. All the wires are hidden, and the new table setup makes the room look clean and professional.

The 8-hour power backup helps the system keep working even if the electricity goes out. We also trained their team for one week and gave them 12 months of free support.

In the end, we transformed an empty room into a smart and modern conference hall that meets all their needs.

What are you most proud of about the project?

We take pride in transforming an empty and narrow room into a smart and modern conference hall. It was challenging because the room was long but not wide, so we had to plan everything very carefully. We installed all the desks, chairs, and AV systems in a neat and organised way. Now, anyone in the room can speak clearly, share their screen with just one click, and see or hear everything without any issues. The system is easy to use, and the control room makes it simple to manage everything from one place. The best moment was watching the system run smoothly after setup and training. It felt great to create something that works well and is simple for the client to use.

Project Overview

Vallect was trusted as the technology partner to design & install an integrated AV solution for RIPANS’ campus, delivering seamless communication, audio, video conferencing, immersive visuals, and enhancing the overall learning experience.

The installation includes a 1,000-seater Auditorium equipped with a fully integrated video conferencing system, enabling real-time HD communication with remote medical panels, guest lecturers, and external institutes. A 5000-lumen WUXGA projector has been deployed for large-format visuals.

The installation features a Trapezoidal Arrayable Point Source loudspeaker, with mics ensuring uniform audio dispersion across all seating zones. The stage monitor system supports on-stage audio feedback, while a digital podium integrates AV control for seamless presenter control.

The auditorium is equipped with Video Conferencing Solutions for live streaming with recording facility supporting cross-institutes lectures, guest lectures, etc., enhancing learning in an immersive & hybrid manner.

In addition to this, we also installed AV solutions for multiple classrooms in the institute to enhance the learning experience.

What did the client want to achieve?

RIPAN’s primary objective was to create a technologically upgraded auditorium capable of hosting large-scale academic conferences, medical symposiums, workshops, events and guest lectures with utmost clarity and impact.

The solutions were expected to include high-gain microphones, acoustically treated environments, strategically placed loudspeakers, and advanced digital signal processors to ensure intelligibility and uniform sound coverage.

On the visual front, the expectation is a large-format display—whether LED videowalls or high-lumen projection systems—backed by high-resolution cameras for live streaming, lecture recording, and remote participation. Integration with lecture capture systems and learning management platforms is essential for academic continuity.

Ease of operation is critical. A centralised, user-friendly control system is expected to allow staff to manage lighting, displays, audio, and source switching effortlessly. Additionally, the college looks for future-ready infrastructure—scalable, serviceable, and compatible with hybrid conferencing platforms like Zoom or MS Teams.

Project Overview

This project showcases next-gen AV integration for agriculture within a command and collaboration environment. Actis, having previously delivered multiple meeting spaces for IFFCO, was tasked with transforming a multifunctional room into a real-time drone ops centre, hybrid VC hub and high-impact training space, all unified through advanced AV, control and lighting.

At the core is a 264” bezel-free, multi-touch LED wall (5120×1440), used to monitor drone feeds, GIS data and telemetry for precision spraying. A ThinkHub system supports multi-source control, whiteboarding and annotation.

The AV setup includes a 4K PTZ camera, Biamp beamtracking ceiling mics, DSP-powered speakers and enterprise-grade computing for real-time analytics. A Crestron CP4 processor and iPad interface allow instant switching between Drone Command, VC and Presentation modes, with lighting presets to match.

Our work with IFFCO supports farmer growth via real-time agri-tech and holistic rural development, reinforcing India’s agricultural foundation and enabling inclusive, socio-economic progress.

What did the client want to achieve?

The client envisioned a future-ready command and collaboration facility to monitor, manage and strategically deploy UAVs for agricultural use, especially real-time fertiliser spraying. The space needed to support high-resolution drone video feeds, telemetry overlays and multi-drone coordination, while also functioning as a hybrid VC room and interactive training hub.

The AV system had to unify diverse inputs ranging from drone video and GIS maps to analytics dashboards and live comms, as well as display them seamlessly with real-time operator interaction. The experience needed to be intuitive, flexible and require minimal manual intervention.

Platform-agnostic video conferencing with clear audio and video was also essential, enabling reliable communication with field teams, researchers and partners under varying room conditions.

This wasn’t just about high-end tech, it was about creating a smart, mission-ready space. Actis was chosen for its ability to deliver on this vision with lasting operational value.

Scope of work your company was involved in

Actis Technologies designed and delivered a turnkey AV and lighting solution for a multi-use government command centre supporting three critical functions: real-time drone monitoring, hybrid video conferencing and interactive presentations.

At its core is a 264” Samsung LED video wall (5120×1440, 1.26mm pixel pitch) with 32-point touch, enabling intuitive interaction with drone feeds, telemetry data and mapping overlays. The ThinkHub platform powers collaboration with multi-source input, whiteboarding and wireless sharing.

Audio is driven by Biamp Beamtracking ceiling microphones and DSP-powered column and ceiling speakers, ensuring echo-free clarity across all use cases. A 4K PTZ camera supports auto-framing for video calls and live streaming.

Enterprise-grade computing with Intel i7 processors and NVIDIA Quadro GPUs handles drone analytics and real-time content rendering. A Crestron CP4 with iPad interface enables instant switching between Drone Command, VC and Presentation modes, while automated Crestron lighting adapts to each scenario.

Actis also handled AVB networking, power integration, user training and system programming, delivering a future-ready, mission-critical AV environment with long-term operational value.

What Key Challenges were faced?

The project’s complexity lay in creating a seamless, multi-modal environment where one space could switch instantly between drone command, VC and training modes without compromising performance or usability.

A key challenge was enabling low-latency, real-time interaction across multiple video feeds on a 264” ultra-wide LED wall, especially during drone operations with telemetry overlays and surveillance streams. Ensuring fluid touch response and system stability under these conditions was essential.

Audio integration demanded hands-free clarity and intelligent mic behaviour. The system had to deliver crisp speech pickup without feedback or noise, even during simultaneous speakers or high-activity sessions like operator briefings.

Lighting required equal attention. Illumination had to adapt automatically for VC, dim for mission-focused monitoring and brighten for in-person presentations, all without user disruption.

The AV system’s control layer had to be deeply unified yet simple to operate, enabling non-technical users to switch modes via a tablet interface.

Finally, infrastructure limitations were tackled through careful planning, supporting high-wattage LED displays, AVB networks and computing power within space and safety constraints.

How were those challenges resolved?

Actis addressed every challenge with smart architecture, carefully selected hardware and seamless control programming to ensure high performance across all use modes.

For display and latency, a 264” Samsung LED wall was paired with a high-refresh (120Hz), low-latency driver setup and ThinkHub collaboration software. Dual 4K outputs enabled fluid interaction with drone feeds, maps and dashboards without input lag.

Audio clarity was achieved using Biamp Beamtracking ceiling microphones and a distributed speaker system powered by DSP and FlexAmp amps. This hybrid design automatically adapts to speaker positions and ambient noise, eliminating feedback and the need for handheld mics.

Lighting was made intelligent and task-aware, with scene presets triggered via Crestron CP4 and an iPad, balancing soft ambience for operations, brightness for VC and visual contrast for presentations.

System control was unified via a custom-programmed Crestron ecosystem, making mode switching fast and effortless for non-technical users.

On the backend, Actis upgraded its infrastructure with DM Lite extenders, AVB switches and modular Cresnet power for signal stability and future growth.

The result: a space that transitions flawlessly between missions, with intuitive operation and rock-solid performance.

How has your work helped the client

Actis transformed this space from a standard meeting room into a high-impact command centre that now anchors real-time decision-making and innovation in agri-tech governance.

The department can monitor UAV fertiliser deployments across regions with live video, telemetry overlays and interactive dashboards, all on a single, ultra-wide LED canvas. This has dramatically improved situational awareness and responsiveness.

Beamforming microphones, DSP-powered audio, and PTZ cameras have elevated video conferencing, enabling smoother collaboration with drone operators, agronomists and partners in the field.

Training and presentations have become more dynamic with multi-source display, annotation tools and intelligent lighting. The user-friendly Crestron interface allows seamless operation without technical supervision.

Project Overview

This project involved the design and execution of a fully integrated conference room of the ASI. The objective was to deliver an AV and conferencing solution tailored for high-level government meetings. To maintain a clean and professional setup, 15.6-inch motorised monitor lifts were installed for a clutter-free workspace. Flush-mounted Chairman and Delegate microphones ensured effective voice capture while preserving table aesthetics. The audio system was driven by a centralised setup with Dante integration, supported by advanced control software for seamless communication and user-friendly operation. Wireless audio was enabled through handheld microphones and Dante-based antennas. At the same time, a high-performance DSP and multi-channel amplifiers powered JBL FOH and ceiling speakers for clear, evenly distributed sound. Video integration included an HDMI Matrix Switcher, high-speed transmitters and receivers, and PTZ cameras for superior video quality. System control was managed via a central processor and an intuitive iPad-based touch interface. Stable network connectivity was ensured through PoE switches and dual-band routers. High-quality cabling, USB extenders, and adapters were used to support all system components, with equipment securely housed in a structured rack.

What did the client want to achieve?

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) aimed to create a modern, fully functional conference room that could support high-level meetings, virtual interactions, and official presentations with ease and reliability. The primary goal was to upgrade their existing infrastructure with an integrated AV solution that ensured clear communication, intuitive control, and minimal visual clutter—while aligning with the dignified aesthetic of a government institution.

They required seamless audio and video capabilities for both in-person and hybrid meetings, with high-quality sound distribution, efficient microphone management, and camera coverage for all participants. The client also emphasised the need for a user-friendly interface that would allow internal teams to manage AV, lighting, and connectivity without technical assistance.

In addition, ASI wanted the setup to be future-ready—scalable, secure, and capable of adapting to evolving conferencing standards. Overall, the objective was to transform the space into a reliable, professional-grade communication hub that reflected the organisation’s stature and supported its operational efficiency.

Scope of work your company was involved in

We were responsible for the complete SITC of a fully integrated audio-visual conferencing system at ASI. Our scope began with understanding the technical and functional requirements, followed by designing a modern AV solution that blends high performance. This included the integration of motorised monitor lifts, flush-mounted Chairman and Delegate mics, and a centralised audio system with Dante-enabled controller and Confero Advanced software. We deployed wireless microphones with Dante-based antenna systems, configured the DSP and amplifier system, and installed FOH and ceiling speakers to ensure clear and evenly distributed sound. The video system included an HDMI matrix switcher, 4K transmitters/receivers, and PTZ cameras, all integrated through a central control processor and managed via a touch panel. Our team handled all network infrastructure using network switches and dual-band routers. All AV equipment was mounted and secured in a professional-grade rack. The completed system offers seamless control, hybrid meeting capability, and high intelligibility, delivering a user-friendly and future-ready environment that supports ASI’s mission-critical communications.

What Key Challenges were faced?

One of the primary challenges encountered during the execution of the AV conferencing system at ASI was the inadequacy of the room’s acoustic treatment. The lack of proper acoustic work in the space led to issues such as echo, reverberation, and uneven sound distribution, particularly during voice pickup and speaker output. This limited the full potential of the audio system and required real-time DSP tuning and microphone gain adjustments to maintain intelligibility. Additionally, integrating multiple advanced components within a compact space demanded precise coordination to avoid signal interference and clutter. The result is a secure, reliable, and modern conferencing environment that not only meets the Central Vigilance Commission’s operational needs but also upholds the institution’s dignity and confidentiality standards.

Scope of work your company was involved in

The scope of work for the Renovation was comprehensive, addressing both functional and aesthetic requirements through a carefully planned, multi-disciplinary approach. The design parameters were highly specific and multifaceted, as the space was intended for high-level official meetings requiring seamless communication, stringent confidentiality, and a professional environment. Our company was responsible for delivering a complete turnkey solution that included advanced audio-visual system integration, civil renovation, electrical work, acoustics, lighting, and furniture. On the AV front, the design incorporated video conferencing, high-definition display solutions, audio reinforcement with echo cancellation, centralised control, and network infrastructure. Each component was selected and configured to ensure intuitive operation, reliability, and future scalability. The civil scope included interior redesign, wall and ceiling treatments, custom panelling for acoustic enhancement, integrated cable management, and false flooring to ensure a clean and clutter-free appearance. Special attention was paid to soundproofing, lighting ergonomics, and HVAC integration to maintain consistent comfort during long meetings.

What Key Challenges were faced?

One of the primary challenges in the renovation was managing the constraints posed by the low ceiling height. Structurally, this limited space made it extremely challenging to accommodate the HVAC ducting alongside sensitive audio-visual components. Special care had to be taken to ensure that duct routing did not obstruct speakers, microphones, or projection lines, and that maintenance access was preserved. A critical concern was HVAC noise management, as airflow could interfere with microphone sensitivity and affect speech intelligibility. We had to achieve precise balancing—ensuring sufficient air circulation and thermal comfort without causing noise interference with the AV system. This required custom duct design, insulation, and airflow optimisation. In terms of interior texture and space planning, integrating ceiling-mounted AV gear like loudspeakers, cameras, and display panels required meticulous coordination with the available structural elements. We had to maintain optimal sightlines and audio coverage while working around fixed ceiling beams and limited mounting options.

What Key Challenges were faced?

EYTE encountered two significant challenges during the execution of the Visualisation Centre project at IISc. The first challenge arose from our late entry into the project, which occurred during its final stages. By this time, the architects had already made significant progress in achieving a carefully curated aesthetic design. Integrating AV infrastructure into the existing setup without disrupting the architectural vision required meticulous planning and coordination.

The second major challenge was the tight project timeline imposed by the client. With financial closure deadlines and the academic calendar fast approaching, there was immense pressure to complete the project within a limited timeframe. To meet this deadline, the EYTE team collaborated closely with manufacturers to expedite equipment deliveries and executed a detailed backwards project planning strategy, ensuring that all activities aligned with the go-live date.

These challenges demanded agility, precision, and a people-centric approach. Through proactive communication, technical expertise, and strong project management, EYTE overcame the hurdles and successfully delivered a fully operational, future-ready collaborative environment.

How were those challenges resolved?

EYTE faced two key challenges during the implementation of the Visualisation Centre at IISc:

1. Late-stage project integration:
The project was awarded to EYTE at a point when construction was nearing completion. Integrating AV systems at this stage meant navigating limited access and existing design constraints. To overcome this, EYTE rapidly developed comprehensive technical drawings, including conduit layouts, raceway diagrams, and power/data specifications. Close coordination with the architect and various contractors enabled quick resolution of dependencies. Proactive planning and effective communication were crucial to maintaining timelines.

2. Tight timelines for material delivery:
With a strict go-live deadline, timely procurement was vital. EYTE’s sourcing team worked across multiple locations and partnered with manufacturers to ensure on-time delivery. For critical components with longer lead times, alternate standby equipment was arranged to keep the schedule intact. These efforts were supported by strong vendor relationships, which played a pivotal role in meeting the project’s delivery milestones.

Through effective project management, agile coordination, and user-focused training, EYTE successfully delivered a high-performance, future-ready collaborative space

How has your work helped the client

The advanced AV technology implemented by EYTE at IISc’s Visualisation Centre has transformed the research and learning experience for the department. By integrating state-of-the-art audiovisual systems, the centre now offers an immersive, interactive, and inclusive environment that enhances the study of complex infrastructure and traffic challenges.
