PROJECT OVERVIEW

For the project submission the name of the project and client is Shell India – Chennai location. But for publishing this please mention this as a large oil and gas company and we have signed an NDA.

The overall project was for a new upcoming facility comprising of 14 floors with various areas of AV in a combination of simple and complex AV solutions. This project was comprised of design, build, operate and maintain. There were multiple combination rooms, Townhall, AV Tech Room, VC areas, Reception, HSSC room, BMS room, Transport room, Briefing room, IT center, Combinable MTR rooms, cafeteria, amphitheatre, Lounge Clubhouse, multiple Combinable medium PNP & MTR (MTR side), standard VC rooms and innovation room.


What did the client want to achieve?

1. The client expected audio and video systems that provide clear and crisp sound and visuals. This includes audio clarity during meetings, presentations, and video conferencing.

2. AV equipment should be reliable and function without frequent breakdowns or interruptions.

3. AV systems should be user friendly with intuitive interfaces and controls. They expected that their employees can operate the equipment with minimal training.

4. The client uses multiple AV components like projectors, microphones, and video conferencing tools. They expected these components to integrate seamlessly and work together.

5. The ability to expand or upgrade the AV system easily is essential. Client expects a solution that can adapt as their needs change, or their office grows.

6. Support and Maintenance: ongoing support and maintenance for their AV systems. This includes timely troubleshooting and repair services when issues arise.

7. Solutions that provide value for their investment. They expect that the AV solutions offered will meet their needs without unnecessary costs.

8. Their employees should get adequate training to use the AV systems effectively. They may also expect ongoing support for issues that arise.


Scope of work your company was involved in

– Design custom AV solutions tailored to the client’s requirements and budget. Integrate audio and video systems, including projectors, screens, microphones, speakers, cameras, and control systems. Ensure seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure.

– Provide high-quality audio systems for clear communication, including ceiling microphones, amplifiers, and audio processing.

– Implement VC solutions with support for platform Microsoft Teams Room

– Offer intuitive control systems that allow users to manage AV equipment effortlessly. Centralize control through touchscreens, mobile apps, or wall-mounted panels.

– Ensure proper cabling and infrastructure to support AV systems, including HDMI, USB, and Ethernet connections.

– Implement cable management solutions to maintain a tidy workspace.

– Ensure seamless integration with the client’s IT network for reliable connectivity and security.

– Implement network configurations to support audio and video streaming.

– Offer upgrade paths and scalability options to accommodate future technology advancements and changing client needs.

– Maintain comprehensive documentation of AV systems, including schematics, manuals, and maintenance records.

– Provide regular reports on system performance and maintenance needs.


What key challenges were faced?

How has your work helped the client?

The company’s long-term relationships with our suppliers and vendors, have helped to mitigate the impact of supply chain disruption. We were very professional in managing this project. Our PM and APM ensured good clear communication between all the stakeholders, and this helped with minimal dependences at site. Our CAD team prepared the necessary drawings which helped the install in line with the design intent. Our programming team had worked on the desired GUI and program well before time and was in sync with the respected stakeholders for the same. We had anticipated the risks involved well in advance which helped us mitigate the same. Overall, AVID’s experience in the AV industry played a crucial role in achieving the project’s objectives of seamlessly integrating AV solutions into various spaces. AVID’S knowledge and expertise likely contributed to a successful project outcome, providing the organization with the desired benefits of improved communication, collaboration, efficiency, and user experience.

As we demonstrated the AV capabilities the client ackownledged our team’s hard work attention to detail and commitment to delivering a top-notch AV solution. We’ve meticulously ensured that the AV solutions met the client’s specific needs, from crystal-clear audio and high-definition video to user-friendly controls and seamless integration.The proud moment was when the client said “Our team have exceeded the expectations.
